I think we will have learned from this year. Hopefully Wembley wont have a bearing by the time the CL comes round, but being 3rd group seeds we need a decent draw. Probably need better luck with injuries - missed Lamela for example - and a couple of decent squad players so that more rotation doesn't damage us too much. As a footie fan, quite looking forward to seeing how Conte does on the really big games, and to see how that will affect (or not) how you do in the league.
I'm not sure that Kyle will go and I wonder whether even Citeh are going to want to pay what Daniel Levy would demand for Kyle Walker. It's going to be more than they paid for Stones and everything has a ceiling, even for them. As good as he's been, a world record for a full back? No bitterness (okay a little bit) but I think that Chelsea will need an upgrade on some defenders , especially for CL games. Your currently crop have done well but better teams will exploit some weaknesses. You can carry purchases and the current crop, so you are deserved favourites to retain the title. Citeh could challenge if Pep learns to be sensible and pragmatic. I cannot see United, Arsenal or Liverpool challenging for the title. Too many problems at those clubs. Mostly, very few of their players are good enough. We'll make Top 4 again, which we need for the construction costs. After that.........? Lads, it's Wembley!
I went for 2 - 1 to Citeh. Little did I know they were going to to pick the chuckle brothers at centre back!
Ladies FA Cup Final at our home ground? Whippet Racing Grand Final? Mucking out t'pidgeon loft? Gone back to supporting Chelsea?
I've said this before, but they seem to have less fans now than they did when they were in the third tier. It's really odd. Maybe they have roughly the same local support, a bigger ground and quite a few foreign fans now? More overall supporters, but less that can actually make it to games on a regular basis. Clearly just speculation, though.
Mahrez dives and gets a penalty. Takes it himself, slips and hits the ball twice. Disallowed. Karma is a bitch sometimes......
I wonder if that Mahrez mistake was caught because of the one that got through in the Madrid game? Griezmann did something similar, but it was allowed to stand.
He didn't see the offside goal... Both big decisions favouring Citeh. And he 'bought' the penalty, so not exactly a perfect performance
You're mental! In what world was that a dive..... It was outside the area mind, and therefore should have been a free kick, not a pen.....but never a dive!
