Before absolute condemnation, it would be good to hear the reasons and club's side if things.

Maybe there is more to it!

    Maybe not...

I think it happened after the match .

Just feel that the Allams are slowly eating away at long term employees at the club . Anyone from the Adam Pearson era (eg. secretary Phil Hough )and earlier ( ground staff / divoters ) have been purged . Supporters of many years , people who have seen the club at its lowest ebb have walked away from the club they love . This is all because the Allams and especially Ehab seem to be on an ego trip were they are always right and never wrong . They love the power which enables them to discard minion employees . Some may find employment again quickly , however the 2 groundsmen may find it hard as they maybe at the age were they are unable to change trades and as their job is specialised opportunities will be thin on the ground . I was 6 in 1970 when I went to my 1st City match and have missed under ten home games since 1974/75 when I got my first season pass . Some of the football has been dire , but City are my team and it's like a religion to me , but I have stayed true to my team . Ehab seems to want to exorcise Hull City and slowly the bastard might be doing it . He's chipping away as more will not renew their membership for next season even if we are in the PL .

It wasn't an explanation, it was a piss-poor excuse.

    Well
That seems standard cheap and tacky behaviour from the club

    Not unexpected

EDIT ...'shabby' was the word I was looking for rather than tacky. I mean tacky was ok, but shabby is what I really meant

    Right.

So my ONLY comment in respect of the 2 from yesterday was:

Almost like we don't have the full picture, but people are sharpening their pitchforks?

    Welcome to Hull City AFC.

Care to point out where I, and in fact ToM and Chazz, have defended the actions of the Allams (even though we don't know who actually did the sacking/dismissing/letting go)?

Or to save time, admit you were either talking bollocks, or just do another lie and say you posted our names in error.

Same old ****e on here aint it? You don't say owt, some **** assumes you have a certain view, state it as fact in relation to something they actually know **** all about, then it's taken as truth by the other ****s.

The two groundsmen maybe already had a job, which. Was the problem.

the article says they got their tickets from the fulltime groundsman.. so they were technically 'employed' by the groundsman, isin't he gone?

did the groundsman clock off early and gave free tickets away to get out of his work?

maybe they are really bad at mending the pitch divots?

I thought they were volunteers so they were employed by no one.

It is irrelevant whether the groundsman clocked off early. If they'd been doing his job for years they at lease deserved an explanation of why they'd not be wanted in the future. Why did it take the club 20 minutes to tell them they were finished?

You think its taken the Allams 7 years to discover the divots weren't replaced properly after a match?

You don't know that , and I have to admit I don't either . However if you have another job lined up the traditional thing is you hand in your notice and don't tell people you have been sacked . I think they were sacked .

Not one to speak for Chazz but I read it as the groundsmen were caught moonlighting. I have no idea why they were sacked, but that's how I read his comment.
