When I've seen the ratings given by PD, I'll give mine. Several of those were VERY generous to say the least!!!
Please FML - NO thanks to any more years for Wes, as we MUST look to the future .....
I'd like to see him stay and let Maddison shadow him on the training pitch. Also be an example for players like Cantwell, the Murphy twins.

We are getting rid of a lot of old stale deadwood. But let's not throw the baby out with the bathwater. I'd love to see Hoolahoops as a player/coach. You can't just release players of his talent and experience. It's useful to keep players like him (I would have put Holt and O'Neil in this bracket) as players for the youth to look up to, watch and mimic.

Players like Bassong, Turner etc. Not much to offer the next generation. Players like Wes, have a lot to pass on.

we have enough firepower I think 100 scored but **** defence.
After tearing all the dead wood put we are going to recruit players to improve that .
This should have been done in 2015 but at least we are moving in the right direction.
Irvine's tenure has been far from depressing thus far .

Defence wise. I think we need to keep Klose for the training pitch, example and moral (as well as starting role)

Again, most want rid, but I'd keep Martin in the same role I'd keep Hoolahan. His position has been messed around, and he's had to play central because of his age and loss of running. I still love his attitude and I think he'd be a good player for the youth to work with. Of the players "aging who aren't as good as they once were" I think I would keep Martin and Hoolahan at the club next season. Not saying I want them to regularly start, but I think they could offer us a lot off the pitch, going forward.

With our board, we can't release the bulk of our squad, then buy a replacement team.

We will be lucky to sign 5 players. They will be mainly bargain basement. We can't let everyone go at once. Coz our board are skimming off money from the Prem and telling us we are skint.

You an tell he wanted to stay. despite them bringing in other keepers who haven't performed.

It reminds me so much of Grant Holt. They seemed like it is hurting to them to be let go. We will miss John going forward.

You need to be careful what you say FML, your last sentence amounts to defamation of character, also, it most definitely is not true!

They edited the inter view with Irvine, just to show the positive parts.
To leave him - and many others unsure of whether they still have a part to play is both disrespectful and scandalous. As a 'family oriented club, we could and should be bigger and better than that.
And there'll be season tickets galore available at Roker Park for anybody who refuses to see the wood for the trees - just because of who posted the comment <doh>

I really do despise this 'family club' b0llocks, much rather be a nasty 'winning club' ;)

I'd rather be somewhere in between, where there's a winning mentality and ethos drummed into the players for 90 minutes, but a warm welcome and fair, value for money treatment for all fans, regardless of home / away, creed, age, sex and colour.
If that's delusional, I'm off to the Roker Park website to check availability

There is absolutely no evidence to suggest Hoolahan would make a good coach, why do people persist with this stupidity.

Some good comments FML and I'm hoping that SW will be true to his word and appoint our HC ASAP!!! <yikes>

Equally, There is absolutely no evidence to suggest Hoolahan would NOT make a good coach.
Why do people persist with this stupidity?

Just an opinion <whistle>

Never said he wouldn'the make a good coach. But to suggest that a Championship club that is looking to become an established PL club such as ours should even consider using someone that has no coaching qualifications or any experience of coaching to play a role in developing our players is absurd. Indeed I don't believe that it's allowable. Of course if he was qualified, had some experience at a lower level and had demonstrated that he had potential to coach at championship level then that would be different.
