I know most of you might be too depressed to be thinking about this already, but screw it.

So 2 up top or what certainly looked like 2 up top didn't magically work today, so next week I think I'd go with:

Jakupovic
Elabdellaoui Ranocchia Maguire Robertson
N'Diaye Huddlestone Clucas
Markovic Hernandez Grosicki

Jakupovic
Elabdellaoui Ranocchia Maguire Robertson
Elmo Huddlestone Clucas Grosicki
Markovic M'Bok (with Markovic up front feeding off M'Bok, not wide or midfield)

If Elabdellaoui still not fit (wtf is going on) then Elmo right back, with Evandro in the middle.

Palace played with practically 4 fullbacks in defence today
There is hope in the sense their defence is ****ed for the rest of the season

Palace were an absolute shambles today defensively and that's not just because they were playing Manchester City (who actually threw away several chances).

It might be an idea to play at least one striker who has actually scored this season.

I dont want Elmohamady anywhere near the team... gives nothing, causes aggro, he is Mr Not My Fault Guv... if Elab has one leg play him... failing that, ask Tymon to play right full back ...

As for Mbokani, i'd rather have Bowen running his legs off...

Does Elmo know he's been a City player , not Sunderland player since 2012 . Seemed like he passed to their players more than ours today .

Doubt Markovic will play.He was signalling he wanted subbing when he went down.Dont think he has the grit needed.

What, like Markovic you mean (did you actually read it?).

It's called hobson's choice Sterling. Yes, it would be great if we could play with a Costa, Vardy or Lakaku up front, but we can't. Niasse has been awful of late, and Hernandez didn't look much better. The logic was M'Bok is at least a decent target man and can hold the ball up for Markovic and others to feed off him.

It's all clutching at straws anyway, as they have almost certainly now f@%ked it up, and they are simply not good enough at the end of the day (especially final 1/3).

One thing's for sure, Marco won't have given up.

Jak
Elab Frog Harry Robbo
Lazar Huddz Clucas Grosicki
Evandro
Hernandez
I hope they enjoy their Sunday morning in training. Funny dont you think that the only people who turned up yesterday had played in play off semi finals, and final last year.!! and Jak of course.

There was no need to be OTT. Our two highest scoring players can't be left out, no matter how ineffective they were. We should go back to one up front, it worked. That game was proof that having two strikers on the pitch doesn't necessarily mean more goals.
