Cheryl Cole and her partner Liam Payne have named their poor child Bear. Did they try saying that out loud...Bear Payne. He'd better be tough because life is going to be hell at school when those darling kids pinch and punch him to see if he can bear pain.

Do you know what would be unusual....giving a baby a normal name that isn't some kind of lesson in toughening you up.

Though having said that, I had a friend called Philip who was therefore Phil Rough....laughed every time.

Depends what you call normal... Gary is dying out and rightly so, who ever looks at a newborn and thinks, hmm yep, baby Gary.

True....though Gary is far from the worst. However, you are not naming a baby, you are naming an adult person as you are only a baby or child for a small part of your life. My rule of thumb is: is 'X' a suitable name for a future Prime Minister or Managing Director? I especially get cross about silly girls' names....grown women don't need to be carrying around a name suitable only for a two-year-old or a kitten. There are unusual names out there without using a ridiculous one.
 
So many bad combinations that you would think parents would think about. I've know a Rusty Nail and a Phil McCracken. Just terrible names really.
 
I used to work with a Ralph Sole. We were in sales, so the 'leader' board used to list us with first initial and surname. Quite unfortunate.

I also went to school with a Mark Penn. Middle name was Richard. He used to sign (using a biro) Mark. R. Penn.

When i saw the title of the article i knew we would be near the bottom.

For some reason we always seem overlooked for this sort of thing. Broadband rollout was the same from my memory. I was amazed out bad the selection was compared to other places considering the urban density we have in the area.

4G? I'm lucky if I can get a mobile signal of any kind here unless I go outside and wander about whilst someone talks to me from under the sea. All phones are the same so it's not just because mine is 100 years old. :)
