Now lets assume we don’t bring a new player in before next Saturday.
Lets further assume O’Shea is fit.
We all agree we have a problem at LW.

    How about.

    Back 4 bring O’Shea in.

    Bardo...O’Shea..Brown..Anton

Midfield we need to make some big choices, Gardner needs to come in and that means a harsh dropping of Colback. We need a good LW and we have one in Sess..

    Midfield of

    Larssen..Catts..Gardner..Sess

in attack its to early to start Ji or Wickham and need someone to sit behind Gyan. Someone who has played there before and scored goals..

    Strikers..
    Richardson..Gyan

    Team..
    MIG
    BADO..O’SHEA..BROWN..ANTON
    LARSSEN..CATS..GARDNER..SESS
    RICHARDSON
    GYAN

Well, go on then, pull it apart

but he is our longest serving player, master at FB/LW/SK

I lik him and he scores goals in his best position. Wickham is a boy and Ji is not

I dont care about your sex life and don't want to know where you lik him.
His all round play is **** Wickham and Ji should be first choice before him.

**** it our lass should be first choice before him. :p

Well said that man, I'd prob go with our favourite Korean behind Gyan, pace to burn and will have the mag defence ****ting themselves when he runs at them.

Richardson can pass out the water bottles at half time, thats as close to the starting 11 that I want him.

edit, dont think we can drop Colback he's been ****ing excellent when ever he's played and deserves his chance at the mags, local lad and all that.

Why does Gardner "need" to come in, surely he has to fight for his place like everyone else? and i just cant see how you can drop Colback.

My back 4 would probably be

O`Shea (if fit) Brown Anton Bardo (or swap Bardo and O`Shea around)

    Larssen Cats Colback Richardson
    Sess
Gyan (I might even be tempted to drop Gyan and start with Ji, but that may be a bit risky)

Richardson is a left winger, or at least thats where he played for Man U and England when he got the chance (from memory) but for us he has played all down the Left hand side/off the striker, so i dont think even he knows what his best position is anymore.

Going to be tough decisions for the midfield spots now.
I wouldn't like to second guess Bruce on this, I assume it's going to depend on how things go in training this week.

Why does everybody want to drop Colback, he had a great game at ANFIELD and now we want to drop him at home against a far inferior team and bring in a player who is known as a bit of a hot head (Gardner) and team him with another known hot head in Cattermole in what is going to be an intense game when the team that keeps its discipline best will most likely win.

Can we please back Colbacks ability and stop ****ting ourselves about the rabble we are playing next week.

I would put O'shea LB and bring Vaughn in for Elmo and keep the rest as it is. If Gyan is out play Ji.

Anyone think maybe, Whickham wasn't played so he could make his debut (off the bench) in the derby.

If he came on, scored, he'd be an instant legend, and his confidence would soar.

You have fan clubs on other things?

Mind you the GC thread was closed before I could jump in to help you. (Not that you needed it with the like of JackyStinx to slap down. )<ok>

Reading an article this morning saying Bruce wants to bring the new lads in slowly. One by one as it were.

He then went say about Colback that he may never of seen him again if he hadn't selected him yesterday as he had such a fantastic end to last season and it would have been completely unfair on the lad if he had been left out.

Colback did absolutely nothing wrong yesterday and for me is a guaranteed starter for the derby.

I would put O'shea at right back, and Bardo at left back.

    Gyan looked crocked to me.

As Newcastle are a big team (physically) we need some height and muscle, especially upfront..

He wins the ball, is comfortable holding it, therefore settling the team, and uses the ball well.

What do you want? 50 yard screamers?

Ok, thats one way of looking at it, I'll not say you're wrong (cos everyone's got a point of view, and you really don't want me to go Chappaz on you, cos that wouldn't end well), but I've not disagreed with another post so much in the last few weeks, he's a cracking little player and I'd have him as one of the first names I'd put down on the team sheet.
