Everyone is entitled to express their opinion but anyone who would rather us lose to get rid of someone who, in my view, is a very good manager, should not associate themselves with supporting any team. That's not what support is. Yes you may not like the guy. I can understand where people may get frustrated and I have also at times this season doubted him. But no matter how much you don't feel he is right for the club, he is out there to do his very best to get us fans a win. Support him and get behind him. Let the board decide whether they think he's good enough. Yes we haven't been as good as last year but that was always going to happen. But for a guy who has: Given us a day out at Wembley Have us beat Liverpool in both legs with Long scoring a goal that will live long in the memory. Also comfortably dominated Arsenal in that run. Beaten Inter Milan. (Yes I know we crashed out early but that night was immense in itself) Had us playing great football. Given the youngsters a chance. All in his first year. Having had to patch up the holes again. It's taken a while but the players are playing his way and when we have been good we've been sensational to watch. Now if we seem to stumble next season and don't look to push on (this is based of aspirations after the summer incoming and outgoings), then maybe we can think "ok lets have a think about whether we have kicked on and who could possibly take us further". For now though support him and see what he does between now and the end of next season. #puelin
Puel has done some good stuff this season. He has had to get used to the premier league as well as deal with horrendous injuries during the season. I have to say I am not a fan in the main as to our style of play sometimes. When we have the right personnel available we can be a force against any other team. Having said that though I sometimes feel we are being far too cautious and are punished because of that. I guess therefore I would mark this seasons performance as a "B" as others have said he did get us to Wembley otherwise my mark would be a C or possibly a C+. However if we actually keep the key personnel and maybe improve the squad he would have to do a lot better. Just my opinion for what it's worth.
https://southamptonfc.com/news/2017-04-27/charlie-austin-southampton-training-return Charlie talking about how pleased he is to be back in training. Always a tough time for sportsmen....just boring and sometimes painful hard work. Not exactly like working down a pit, but tough just the same.
I still want to know how you live in outer (well maybe inner) *****lia and still get home within an hour of me
No way, rather than "In 200 yards turn right" You'd have: "In 200 yards, after a long straight you will need to turn. But really you should not have driven so far, and maybe should have taken a rest. The French/German/Japanese car you are driving may be adapted to right hand drive, but really you should pay more attention. You are not getting all you can out of your car, and I think it is time to change the car. If you bought English (is that possible in cars anymore?), maybe we will have more season ticket holders next year. Oh by the way you missed the turn as I was rambling, but it was turn right"
Jason McCarthy Walsall player of the year. He was Wycombe player of the year last year. He deserves a chance.
My mates down the pub are having to do without me at the moment as I try to scrape together the money to buy two season tickets. So sober evenings and no gossip.
