A few of us regularly do. None of us mates before "meeting" on this forum. I'd consider those people mates now. If you posted a little more regularly, or even read stuff that you don't post on, you'd see that we regularly meet. It's open invite on here, mostly the match threads. Pop along.

Ps. I'll make the pub before the United game (the Liverpool one is away) and that's travelling from Northampton :emoticon-0126-nerd:
I still can't believe you drove me to Middlesbrough and back the first time we met!

You're just following my lead...

Thing is, the football has at points been a little negative this season so I can kinda slightly begin to get on board with that - then he spouts utter balls like "if Puel stays there's no doubt we'll be relegated next season" and I just...well...

Plus the barely hidden xenophobia makes me sick,

Just put him on the ignore list. Otherwise you will end up getting banned and then I will have no one to argue with over referees. :)

I dunno Tom... I'm sure plenty of us could oblige with that :bandit:

Please, call them by their given names - "the Spaniard" and "the Portuguese".

The Frenchman, the Portugese, and the Italian get a little confusing at the moment.

Worth noting that, for the silly xenophobia about managers, UK managers currently occupy the following places in the table: 8th, 10th, 11th, 12th, 14th, 16th, 18th, 19th, and 20th. Having a local bloke is no panacea.

Yep, along with the Swiss woman owner, the English keeper, the Portuguese right back, the Dutch central defender, the Japanese central defender, the English right back, the Northern Irish & the Spanish & the Serbian and the English midfielders and definitely the Italian forward.

Maybe we'll let the Curacao defender leave.

Have I missed anyone?[/QUOTE]

Actually I did. That is only a 10 man team. Maybe the English man got sent off for mentioning the French man.

The continued use of "the Frenchman" as if his nationality is relevant. It's a thin veil. He's been pulled up on it before, but like Nosferatu he hovers, waiting to stick the knife in.

Unfortunately, the use of the terms to me are all too common. It is not political correctness gone wrong, but really people actually thinking like that.

As I said earlier, if Puel is crap, he is crap. French, English, German or even American, he is crap. People think racism only exists if you mention colour or religion - it doesn't. Calling him 'The Frenchman' in that context to me is just like saying the "Black man" or The Muslim" or "The stupid white bigot"

This has got a tad out of hand....

My main disappointment this season is with the board. There seems that no plan was in place for Fonte's replacement and when Austin got injured, there was no one to fill his shoes until Gabbiadini showed up in January. We're always told our board are always planning, but we seem to be reacting lately, and at a pedestrian pace.

Puel has done his best, and with our bit part defence with low confidence, our results haven't been half bad.

I will cut the board some slack for now, depending on how things go.

If Gabbiadini is a 20-25 goal scorer he was worth waiting on. I think I am more optimistic about Redmond than most on here, though his play has been inconsistent for sure. I am losing faith in Boufal, though.

I have an announcement to make!

I am never, ever, ever going to see Saints ever again!! (Not until next season, anyway...)

I'm obviously a jinx and to those in the pub I was wrong, I'd seen one draw and two losses before today (I forgot Swansea away) but none of them were as bad as today. I probably won't read the thread as I already know the blame is mine :emoticon-0106-cryin <wah> <yikes> :(

:p

I really like Redmond and Boufal has incredible potential to become great or the next Gaston.
