Ok very quick follow up.

I for some reason have a disabled railcard because I am partially deaf in one ear :) This gives my 30%+ off all rail tickets - me and one adult, but I pay about £20/year for it.

Tell me more.

I have been partially deaf in my right ear (can't hear a word if I hold a phone to it, without my hearing aid) since birth, and my left ear is now well below "normal", (also now needing a hearing aid) yet have never been aware of a discount rail card for being partially deaf.

Not trying to be too personal, but does it have to be a particular problem, before entitlement kicks in?

*has wife with one deaf ear - waits with interest*

As long as you are entitled to a NHS aid, you can get the railcard - really good value.

30% off for you and 1 adult and I think 2 children. All journeys peak/off peak. Sometimes even more with special offers.

From memory, I just sent a photocopy of my NHS battery book off with the application. I have perfect hearing in one ear and about 30% in the other.

EDIT: found the link to eligibility

Morning Saints!!!.... any suggestions for parking for a speedy get away Saturday...
Thought you played really well last night... unfortunately... !

A speedy getaway from any city on a Saturday at 5pm following the shopping-frenzy and a premiership match is easy ... get a train! :D
If you think its possible by car then you have drunk too much to be driving <cheers>

...unfortunately, he doesn't drink now. Technically, he wasn't drinking when he got done, but that is another story. I understand his predicament, as he is now teetotal, and am helpful to him, but I want a drink at footie :)

I despair when humans lose the ability to put one foot in front of another to get somewhere <doh>
(Excusing those that aren't able to of course)

We come from Dorch and wouldn't dream of driving except when the Train is a Bus maybe
p.s. Senior Railcard<party>

If you only read this forum one might think that all Saints fans are over 60 (except Onionman junior)
