Nobody is suggesting that Liverpudlians are above reproach but his particular "criticism" is prejudiced and unprovoked and the timing of it is insensitive. I would be angry if somebody layed into my city for no particular reason. The Heysel disaster was mainly a result of a poorly designated stadium, and a tragic accident of a wall collapsing. In those days most of the clubs in England had a hooligan problem (even Saints and Juventus) and it might've happened to any club on that day. I'm not condoning the actions of the fans, just that they could not have forseen that their actions would cause the horror that occured afterwards.
Not even sure they need that, those players will continue to get better. Just a bit of squad depth and they will be my favourites.
The internet tells me Alderweireld has committed 16 fouls since he joined Tottenham. Maybe the best ever player to wear a Saints shirt. http://www.football365.com/news/f365s-early-winner-toby-alderweireld
Fair enough, I just wanted someone to tell me they'd read it, on a day when posting, not reading seems to be the norm.
He's extremely good, but I wouldn't go that far. Not sure he's the best defender to wear a Saints shirt in the last three seasons tbh.
I know and according to Swansea fans in work they don't deserve to stay up Might be easier to get tickets next season though for any Saturdays that I'm not at St Mary's
The run-ins for Swansea and Hull look about the same, although we have Hull at home. Have to hope for a slip-up from someone!
Yeah, I'm a bit concerned that ol' Jack Cork will be playing Championship football next season. It's a shame. Swansea play some nice football.
