They wore the blue&white kit from the second half of 3-1 in the 6-3 though didn't they? Was it the same kit?

Probably was, didn't change every year back then.

You're right, sorry, I just reread your post with the link and it clearly refers to the 3-1 game! Not woken up properly yet!

I do remember there being a lot of humorous references to the Wrong Shirts game following the 6-3 game, such as "United would have been better off in the grey shirts, they only lost 3-1 in those..." and so on.

Always the way Beddy, I've been on 7am starts every day this week bar one (an 8!). No doubt I'll wake up at the crack at dawn tomorrow as well <doh>
 
Despite being the site's ludicrous optimist and vying with Qwerty for the "Who loves Maya the most?" cup, I've been spreading misery hither and thither as to whether Maya will sign again.

Enough of this in and out running. Back to my usual winning blind optimism form, I'm rather buoyed by the following.

Maya gave an interview the other day in which he said:

"I have been waiting for this chance for a long time. Now I have to show everyone who I am. I'm showing it now, but if it's not enough I will understand and I must keep showing a good performance until the end of the season and even more, for the next two or three years."

That would be rather nice, wouldn't it?

Even nicer would be a few Japanese hieroglyphs on a contract, Maya, me old fruit.

I twitch when a possible new CB is mentioned as it makes me think VVD is on the move, but I suppose it is just common sense for the club to be looking at possibilities....that's the way to run a business. I don't imagine that we will let Stephens go as he is showing such potential and will either make a great CB for us or fetch a better price later. Don't even want to think about Maya...you know I'd keep my favourites as pets if I could.:emoticon-0106-cryin

Don't forget we haven't replaced Fonte yet. Martin seems purely an emergaency back-up.
