HIAG, I am now seriously concerned for your mental well-being. If someone in the mental health profession happened upon some of your threads you'd risk being sectioned for long time. You need to get a grip, although professional help would be a better option.

I worked in mental health for the NHS for 16 years. I would say that HIAG suffers from a severe lack of self-esteem, hence the obsessive need to be liked on an internet forum, seemingly mixed with something akin to attention deficit disorder or a touch of autistic spectrum disorder. His clamour for attention, positive or negative is probably indicative of a lack of recognition in the real world.

I genuinely don't mean this as a slur, but his behaviour bears all the hallmarks of these conditions.

This site's open secret is that the Arsenal board has been abandoned. It's like the Marie Celeste over there, with half-finished threads (like the half-drunk cups of coffee on that famous ghost ship).

What we don't yet know is why it has been abandoned. I want to explore that theme in this thread.

It seems to me that there are two possible answers.

The Arsenal Mods have destroyed the board

Without wanting to point any fingers, my initial thinking has been to lay the blame squarely at the feet of the Gooner mods. They have led a campaign of intolerance and overt bias since this site was created, getting rid of anyone who dared to breathe a word of opposition against Wenger and his outdated tactics. There was a raft of bans. In disgust, a whole section of Gooners boycotted, not just the board, but the entire site, and set up on their own.

The Chav board's campaign of hatred and intolerance taught us that mods cannot act in such a juvenile and high-handed fashion without there being serious consequences to the long-term survival and fortunes of your board. It seemed to me that the Arsenal mods - whether it be for reasons of simple neglect, or a much deeper ignorance - simply did not learn this vital lesson.

Discussion is the life blood of a healthy and vibrant forum. Destroy that, and you destroy the forum. It seemed to me, certainly initially, that that is what the Arsenal mods did.

The Arsenal board was populated by fair-weather plastics

This possibility has emerged with the decline in AFC's fortunes in the league.

In many ways, this is linked to the first possibility. By banning and driving away decent, non-plastic posters, the Arsenal mods have created a rod for their own backs. If all that remained were the yes-men fair-weather plastics, they have only themselves to blame, because the one thing that we absolutely know about fair-weather plastics is that they will desert you on the flip of a coin, just when you need them most.

So, it is possible that the Arsenal board is currently deserted because it was populated by fair-weather plastics, who have done a runner due to the fact that Arsenal are so ****e, at the moment. This theory can be tested, because - if it is correct - the plastics will return to gloat, brag and scoff just as soon as there is a revival in their club's fortunes.

Sure, we may have to wait quite a while for Arsenal's fortunes to revive, but only time will tell.

Pixie is damned either way

It is unfortunate that Pixie is damned if his board revives or if it doesn't.

If the board revives with AFC's fortunes, we will all know that the Gooner board is populated by fair-weather plastics. There will be absolutely no running away from that conclusion, and Pixie will have to bear the brunt of the onslaught of derision and wummery that will undoubtedly follow.

If the board does not revive, then we will know that it is because Pixie and his fellow mod destroyed the board that he was charged with looking after.

Having been around people with mental health conditions a lot, I would concur with what you have said.
It is not Autism per se, because his non verbal communication skills are far too eloquent (for a person with Autism).
But it certainly reeks of atypical Autism, or pervasive developmental disorder (PDD), leaving the communication side out of it, he definitely displays very predictable and worrying behaviours and fixated interest patterns.

If this guy is over 25, I would be shocked.
I am almost 100% convinced that he is no ****ing lawyer or anything like that also.

Agree about it not being Autism per se, but I would say that HIAG is further along the spectrum than most. If anything I would say his condition is more akin to Aspergers. His restricted and repetitive patterns of behaviour, coupled with an inability to navigate the social structures of conversation and unwavering fixations on issues that others simply brush aside all point to some developmental ******ation.

To be honest, a football forum where people engineer situations to take the piss, is probably the worst place he could seek his social interaction. It must be brutal for him trying to navigate his own emotions on here. Hence why we often see him melting down and making threats of legal action etc.

Thats the other thing I was going to bring up.
Football forums are not an ideal place to seek social interaction if you have some kind of social disorder, hence why I counselled Matth to limit his interactions on this forum, and he seems to have done very well. (I say that with the least amount of patronisation possible).
HIAG is no where near that level of disorder, but his inability to separate non issues on a football forum from actual legitimate concerns and start threatening legal action would point to some sort of disassociative disorder.

These days, despite the fortunes of their teams having somewhat reversed (Spurs doing well, Arsenal in the ****), their respective roles on this forum have reversed in the opposite direction.
Nowadays I find myself rolling my eyes and face palming at most of HIAGs ****, he seems to be losing it, when, given the situations of their respective teams, I would have imagined HIAG to be owning Piskie thoroughly.....that is not happening.

Another point I almost made in my first post here, then deleted.

If I was he I wouldn't be delving around in the basement of wummery and insults but would have played my comments based on results of the two teams and tangible facts. All this rubbish about power shifts n such is embarrassing him as Spurs would have to consistently finish higher for a minimum of 5 years to even talk about it.
