Is this fitness or Ferrari get a last minute deal before sauber break ties?

Or is Sauber trying to get Merc PU for next year? i.e. Pascal can drive if we get Merc PU next year!

I doubt the increase in gee's would do someone with a bit of a bad back much good. How many races will he miss? bad backs are notoriously difficult to fix
Is the injury possibly worse than they're initally making out?
Would be bad for the RoC if it is as teams would be less willing to let top drivers participate if it is if a race threatening injury can happen.

it all depends n how the injury is affecting him, if it's a constant dull ache, yeah, get in the car you pussy. If he's having spasms, on the other hand, I wouldn't even think about it tbh, nor would anyone who has suffered from one.Having a back spasm attack during a race would almost be a guarantee of a nasty crash to end in a crash, you pretty much lose all control of your body when one hits. It's horrible to have one, but I'm told by witnesses, it's ****ing funny to watch.

I'd say the Merc still has that, for now at least, I'm interested in seeing how far down the straight the Honda gets before it runs out of electrical energy.

Well well well! 4 years since I last posted on this site. Been about 10-11 years since I first joined up on the old Beeb's 606. Good to see a few familiar names still lurking about.
Lot's has happened in the sport in that period but I've been as avid a fan as ever. This season though has seen me somewhat reenergised. With the removal of Bernie and these new meaner machines it's getting closer to the sport that I wanted it to be.
This weekend will be utterly fascinating. Have to admit, I'm a fan of the Shanghai circuit. We've seen some good races in the past, no moreso than in 2006 when the master himself Michael Schumacher won his 91st and last victory in f1. His performance on the far inferior wet weather Bridgestone's was astounding that weekend.
Anyway, that was then, this is now. Can Lewis and Mercedes respond to the challenge laid down by Ferrari? They kind of do need if it is to be believed (as reported by some journalists) that the Ferrari's true strength lies in circuits that emphasise front end grip, the first of which is Bahrain next week. Vettel and Ferrari looked mighty at the front in the Australian Grand Prix but we might not have even seen Ferrari's ultimate pace. Then again - can Ferrari's development of the car over the season match Mercedes? So many exciting things to look out for this season. We're in for a stormer!
