The fight at the bottom of the table is incredible. We need three points from today so we can enjoy our mid table march. Lose, and people will start pissing their pants.
Sahko getting plaudits on motd. And to think we were linked with him. Still, we have Stephens, yoshida and a guy who hasn't played in a year.
We're still being linked to him. Of course whether that is just newspaper trash talk, I don't know. That said, you assume that if Palace can afford to keep him, then they will. We may well have missed the boat on that one. Sadly, I'm expecting him to have an easy game on Wednesday. Hopefully we will see Caceres soon though. Not sure how we can make a decision over his future next season, without trying him out for at a few games first.
Indeed, it just shows how well Sakho has done in helping to turn Palace around, in that if they beat us on Wednesday, they'll be level on points with us!
No, seemed too good to be true. Stephens did well today but we need an experienced steady hand in defence. I would like to see cacares. Could have easily been 0-3 today.
He should put Martin in, just so people realise how lucky we are to have someone as competent as Jack coming through. Can't believe people are pointing the finger at him. He is inexperienced and playing next to the most non vocal CB in the league, and doing a superb job. He's the future, Marty will be off in the summer.
Caceres was brought in as emergency back up. We can presume that Puel has seen nothing that he feels warrants dropping either Yoshida or Stephens. This is massively valuable experience for a talented player from our Academy....who we can assume is the future for us. The season is safe with nothing in particular to play for....why wouldn't you keep playing him. Also suggests that to me that we won't be offering Caceres a contract...though Saints have fooled me before.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football...-carragher-countrys-leading-referees-discuss/ Carragher and Neville sat down with referees to discuss decisions, not sure I can remember anything like this happening before. Full programme tonight at 7pm on Sky.
Can't find any links for it... a lot of Stoke fans play the 'he never tackles with malice, just mistimes them sometimes' card. You're right he's a thug
Last chance saloon for Boro (and Sunderland) today. A win for Swansea, and we surely have the first two relegation places filled.
