Love how we are linked to real quality and then we get a drip drip drip of reality. Unless we get CL, we'll buy nobody of note. Even if we get CL, don't expect big names. Big fees maybe....but no big names. The irony is that our lack of transfer activity this year will be our downfall if we fail to get over the line.......and if that happens, will FSG really outspend the others? I doubt it..... In short, finincially, we are probably the poorest in the top 7 now that Everton have money. We certainly have the weakest squad. The other 6 are set to spend big. It's going to be a huge summer. I hope we don't get left behind or it might be time for FSG to sell up.
I doubt us or utd are after him. Just made up journo Bollocks to sell papers and click. Every manager will have a list of targets obviously but they won't know until may how realistic they are and where each team finishes in the league. For now guessing game.
