the press will continue to pine for Wilshire
Not so sure about that.... not too many journos talking him up lately. More injuries and mediocre performances for a club other than Arsenal appear to have done for him. Think it's a long way back for him now - and that was if Southgate was convinced.......

I know I've got a downer on Sterling, and yes he did get an assist, but you could see the difference that Rashford made when he came on. Stuff that Sterling doesn't seem able (or willing) to do at international "level". And I use the quotes round level deliberately, since for most PL players, most international matches are actually a step down in quality compared to what they are used to (regardless of what the pundits keep spouting about it being a step up). There are very few internationals that are. So there's no real excuse for Sterling, other than for whatever reason he doesn't seem to be able to do it internationally, and we shouldn't keep indulging him simply because of who he plays for and the fact that he should be better.

Couldn't agree more. See my earlier comments!

He's scored 6 goals this season [29th in PL]; he's hit 18 shots on target [25th in PL]; he's made 6 assists [10th in the PL] tellingly, he's made 3 through balls [71st in the PL].

He's played 25 games for a side that can only attack and is surrounded by some serious attacking talent. It's not that he has no talent but given his purchase price and where he plays, I wouldn't say that he's convincing in any aspect of the game except dribbling and that is too often to little purpose.

Watching it on TV and with the players backs to the screen, it looks like both in blue.
Yeah, I've just had a look at live footage and it does look a lot more similar than it does in photos.
I assume that the clash isn't too bad to the naked eye, though I've seen the odd bad one from time to time.

Scotland nick it at the end. Well worked goal, if a slightly lucky finish.
Chris Martin can go back to Fulham with pride and continue to whine about not being allowed to leave! <laugh>

Largely pointless crap, as you'd expect, but a really nice gesture by Hart. <applause>
Vardy looks like he's got some sort of eye disease, though.

Hart just took a step up in my estimation (as a person), that is something most people will never see and only done because he wanted to <applause>

How dare you call this "pointless crap" ! Do you realise Daniel Levy is charging £9000 per season in the new stadium to see at first hand, scenes such as this ??

<laugh>.

<ok>.
