I've no problem with Rooney as a person (in fact he's gone up in my estimation in recent times), only as a "footballer".

I feel a little sorry for him, he just didn't have the talent available to him that previous managers had. Dutch football is in a very poor state at the moment when compared to the past.

That's a little off-message by the KNVB: after failing to qualify for the Euros they held an enquiry and soon realised their squad was literally missing an entire generation of players, as the squad was either players in their early twenties or their thirties with nobody in their mid-twenties, and they knew it would take time to address this. Sacking the coach eighteen months later isn't going to address the long-term issues Dutch football has.

Very impressed with Keane, glad he got to play the last couple of games despite not being at a "fashionable" club.

This time it looks like 4321: a back four (with Verts at left back...), Dembele, Tielemans and ch'yar ul'nyar shaggornyth behind Chadli and Mirallas with Benteke up top...although **** knows what the system was when the subs came on, but I get the feeling that's why they went from 3-1 up to a 3-3 draw.

It's worth pointing out that a few weeks ago Vauxhall was bought by PSA Peugeot-Citroen

Not a good sign of how trade negotiations with EU nations are going to go, is it?
