I'm guessing the only chance there is of the Europa winners not going into the group stage is if Leicester win the CL?

Atletico probably won't. They're 4th 5 behind 3rd place. Dortmund are 3rd 6 points behind 2nd and only point clear of 4th (is it 2 or 3 from Germany that go auto into groups?)

Yeah but 4th is enough isn't it? Its still technically qualifying for the CL?

But if Dortmund or Atletico win the CL but don't finish high enough in league to get automatically into group stages then they'll get there via the CL win and the Europa winners take the play off place.

All top 4 clubs from italy spain england and germany go to group stages in the new rules.

Europy will eventually too.

Italy don't. They only have 3 because they're just behind England in coefficient points and was big talk of them overtaking us and getting a 4th spot while we drop to 3

That's what happens when you let Arsenal waste a space for 7 years [HASHTAG]#wengerout[/HASHTAG]

Don't think it's arsenal personally.

Never a problem when it was us utd Chelsea and arsenal.

Blame city.

Seeding determines who gets out of cl groups. No shame in having to put the work in over years to get the seeding.

But city had an easy draw and ****ed it right up.

Meanwhile Leicester have far exceeded expectations despite an easy group due to seeding no 1.

Draw is at 11. I'm sure their fans are enjoying it.

They are getting the 4th spot. This was announced. We are all having these 4 places cos uefa realised it was in trouble. It starts from 2018.

There must be a clause in Pogbas contract where he must play every match in full.

The man management from Mourinho has been dreadful this week. A dead rubber match against Kostov and he rests nobody and now potentially could have Pogba injured.

If he sees priority in only cups then the league should be a time to rest players come this weekend.

Nah, they realised their beloved Spanish and Italian teams could be in trouble would be more like it.

They play boro so chances that will happen and still get a result are very high anyway.

Atletico v leicester.

Home tie for atletico first. The one team imo leicester did not want cos atletico can front the long ball crap.

Bayern v real the tie of round and hard to call.

Juve v barca mildly interesting :bandit: tactical one that.

Dortmund v monaco at the kiddies table...

Boro sack manager before game too.

Obvious easy win for utd

Oh and moanrinho has long history of only trusting a small group of players and he will knacker utd players doing it.

Big squad and half wont be used

Agree.

Atletico will play same way with superior (on paper at least) players.

Good luck to Leicester, who would have thought at start be last man standing.

Hope their fans enjoy it <cheers>

Roy Keane said Mourinho's gripes about fixture congestion are 'rubbish'
Roy Keane launched a scathing attack on Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho after Thursday's Europa League win over Rostov, questioning whether the Portuguese is up to the job.

Republic of Ireland assistant boss Keane labelled Mourinho's gripes about fixture congestion as "utter nonsense" and says United have had an easy ride in the cup competitions.

Mourinho has bemoaned United's amount of games for some time and repeated after the victory over Rostov that this week's schedule, which sees United play again on Sunday after games on Monday and Thursday, shows they "have enemies".

Jose Mourinho believes United have 'enemies' when it comes to the fixture schedule
But Keane told ITV Sport: "I've never heard so much rubbish in my life. Why do we have to listen to that garbage?

"It's just utter nonsense what he's talking about. He's manager of Manchester United, one of the biggest clubs on the planet. The squad he's got... and he keeps moaning about fixtures and fatigue.

United fixtures explained
Manchester United face eight games in April as they chase Europa League glory and a top-four finish

"We were just looking at some of the cup draws they've had. They've had an easy ride in the cups; some good draws and a lot of home draws. The guy's talking absolute nonsense. I've never heard so much rubbish in my life.

"Maybe the club's too big for him. He can't deal with all these demands at the match. What matches? Man United reserves could have won that game tonight. I'm sick to death of him."

United defender Marcos Rojo was seen eating a banana towards the end of the game, passed to him by Ashley Young from the substitutes bench, as Rojo appeared to be suffering from fatigue.

But Keane said: "I think that was all staged, without a shadow of a doubt.

Jose Mourinho says FC Rostov posed a challenge to his Man Utd side in their Europa League last-16 victory
"He's talking about the player collapsing. That was easier than a training session. Eleven against eleven on the training pitch; that was easier than that.

"And he's talking about players collapsing. What rubbish. I've seen players maybe get Jaffa Cakes passed onto the pitch, so I wasn't surprised a player was looking for some sort of food.

"But I think they made a bigger drama than what it was. He's got other staff. One of the fitness coaches could have come on with that, the medical staff. He's passing it on to Ashley Young, and he's passing it on."

The mancs are slagging him and Pogba off to **** on their board <laugh>
