Big Joe tags along, why would that be??

Come on Liverpool man

Discussed on the LFC board <ok>

Strange he took time to visit Croxteth if he's already paid for the docks like Tobes says? Maybe thinking of asking for a refund?

Or maybe he hasn't already made a deal at all?

Discussed on the Liverpool board, who started the thread(

No idea who's theory that is but I would think the truth is that Croxteth is a back up plan in case planning permission is denied on the docks.

Maybe they lurk on here everyday and are going to use your magic business plan to fund the dock site.

FAO the bitter Kopite @astro

If you even had the vaguest clue, you'd realise that a deal to buy the land subject to planning consent doesn't mean the full cash amount has yet changed hands.

Building on a site as complex as the BM dock needs detailed feasibility studies.

They did go to SC yesterday, and never got out of the car. It's a possible fall back position in case the docks fails to get past the planning stage.

Dan Meis the stadium designer was in Liverpool yesterday btw. I also told you about this guy a month ago as well.

I have a sneaky suspicion they may have already seen the docks once or twice but, had to have an official visit with the Mayor for public display.
Very astute and completely correct

Could they get a scheme of that scale through planning and ready in 5 years?

Not so sure myself, and the idea of ending up with anything that resembles the stadium thieves mess leaves me cold tbh.

Something like the COM would do me. Design it with football in mind for its future.

Temporary seating to cover the track now, loads of real ways of making it work better than the OS. Plus capacity/seating angle can be steeper for eventual football use.

Plus retaining track under seating gives dual use.

My view is and always has been, that the CW games was never a factor for Everton FC.

Big Joe wants it to be his legacy and it's a bit of a vanity mission for him imo. I think it's him that's been pushing the potential tie in with us, and whilst we might be listening I don't think it's in anyway a key factor in whether we build at the Docks or not.

Moshiri's brief to Meis was that the atmosphere inside the ground was key, and a running track is a massive compromise in that regard. It's not insurmountable but unless there was a massive financial inducement for us to take this path, then I can't see it happening personally.

Hhmmmm i think i'll send a letter to Moshiri to talk him out of this new stadium lark its upset @astro no end and we cant have that can we.....<laugh>

Don't panic astro your owners might dip into their pockets for the other lean to soon eh??
