The bad thing about Sunday was that Koeman is saying Everton are now nailed on for Europe in 7th place. we have a game in hand and are 14 points behind (15 allowing for goal dif) could we possibly have a late charge and pip them?
Way things are going currently think there's more chance of them catching Liverpool than us catching them.
Everton fans were happy with Sunday's result, it means they will get to lose to some Scandinavians in next year's play-off round.
Was impressed by Jamie Rednapp already put a price on his head after the match on Sunday...£30m.

Whilst it does irritate me, I can see why it happens and it is partly our doing. We have sold our top players more than anyone in England in recent years and even though it's worked well for us, it has also established that reputation.
It'll take a while to move away from the "I wonder how much they'll sell him to Liverpool for" jibes to cease but hopefully this summer will be the start of that process.
Whats so great about Gabby is he brings the team belief. Like Austin, you can tell that the team feel that they can get on with their own game and the striker will score. Same effect Lambert had. As much as I love Shane and Jay, they do not carry the same threat.
Of course this could be a massive purple patch and he goes on to score one more goal this season. I can't see that happen though.

Not sure if anyone has noticed, but the celebration for the second actually shows something about him. He did his trademark slide and Stephens jumped on his back.... what goes unnoticed is that he actually stands up with Stephens on his back whilst others crowd round to celebrate. He's got some strength to do that!
What I like abut him is that he doesn`t have a hissy fit (unlike a certain other Italian !) when things don`t go his way. None of this throwing his arms around and sulking - he switches on, and is already looking for the next opportunity.

Good point. I think he is more a team player than Pelle (and I'm not dissing him, that was his style....but there was always a risk he'd miss something while he was being dramatic). There has been talk by players and Puel about how well Manny has fitted in despite the language problems. Seems to be one of the lads already and they certainly admire his skill.
Sometimes you just see a little of a player and know straight away that he's a class apart. You didn't have to see much of Bale, or Chamberlain for example, to know that even when really young, those guys had something out of the ordinary.
Sometimes it's a player's bearing, even when off the ball. Ibrahimovic is like that. Reminded me of Berbatov, the way he looked dangerous even when seeming to stroll about not doing much.
Manolo's presence is a bit different, but he looks lean and hungry, and like he's always ready to pounce. Another thing; when we have the ball and are threatening to break, you look for Manolo and he is always in the right place.
The sides we've put ot this season haven't lacked talent or application, but we have been short of genuine star quality. Now we have VVD, Boufal and a new striker who may all fit into that category. If they do, maybe Tadic, and even Redmond, can take a big step up into that class too.
Exciting times.
A previous coach of Manolo has said he is first in for training and last out....he wants to be the best and will work for it. Can't remember who, but one of our players said they could see how good he was from day 1 and...almost as important, he was fitting in with the other lads despite the language barrier.
