To be fair there wasn't much momentum before that game.

A 2-0 home win after a top performance against a team above you in the table was the perfect remedy to your 2017 hangover. 2 weeks at this stage of the season feels like eons. The players are in top condition, firing on all cylinders and just do not need that much time away from competitive football. I don't remember ever seeing Spurs put in a good performance after an extended break.

Lfc have no physicality.

We could not even get a pass together tonight

It was embarressing.

I screamed man and ball at clyne as the ball went out towards the sideline and he somehow managed to conspire with lallana to let the ball in after 3 passes or whatever.

If you cant mix it. Dont get in a fight.
It's attitude and application - that's all.

Well, since Christmas we've managed to lose to 3 different teams all in the relegation zone (at the time of playing).
We're just trying to make the relegation battle more interesting....

I'm just worried about the old adage 'If you can't beat 'em, join 'em'.

I agree completely. Anyone who says players can't manage 2 games a week should be shot, imo.
They need to play to keep match fit, a nice holiday in the sun is the last thing they need.

Absolutely. We saw it yesterday against Stoke. They all ****ed off to Dubai for a week while we slogged it out with 10 men on Thursday night at Wembley. We looked infinitely sharper, got stuck in and were raring to go. They looked liked they were all nursing sunstroke and half of them looked overweight. Momentum at this stage of the season is far, far more important than 'a good rest'.

Agree...will interesting to see how Arsenal do at the weekend.
Stoke were ****ing atrocious after 2 weeks off whereas we had played 3 matches in 7 days yet completely out ran them yesterday.
Liverpool looked a yard slower all over the pitch

I'm just thankful that Leicester laid off in the second half, and perhaps ran out of steam. Had they really tried, then they could have had five or six. It truly was like watching that Stoke game under Rogers. I'll say again though that we totally ****ed our season up in January. And Klopp is NOT above criticism, though where do we go to if we got rid? There just isn't an alternative, but I'n not inspired at all by his judgement nor leadership - we are no better off than with Rodgers, and even heading towards Hodgson land. What's more, he looks utterly perplexed and clueless.

I think he'll walk before the season is over if it looks like we won't get Top Four (and we definitely won't).

We were flying earlier in the season though

Had confidence, were attacking well, defending well, everything balanced.

It is in us but how to get it back is the problem

But was being treated as a mini preseason apparently! Fat lot of good it did us

No excuses!

We were pathetic. We had a nice big break, we have all our strikeforce in place. And we were playing the worst form team in the league, who hadn't even scored a single goal for 2 months.

We have now got to say it. Have we made progress ? No. Are we closer to winning the league? No. If this was Rodgers, he would have been crucified. We were passing the ball in front of their defence and no one tried anything different.

If a manager can be sacked after winning the league, then no one is safe. There, I've said it.:bandit: We simply are not going anywhere with Klopp.

At least we are now the worst form team....and we can't play ourselves....but if we did, we'd probably give the ball away in midfield and lose to a goal on the counter
