The stewards and many of the people behind, in front and next to you.

The stewards don't seem to stop the fans of other clubs standing up there. Somehow other clubs seem to sell 3,000 tickets to people who stand. Difficult for us as we only have 400 or 500 at home games who do and not all of those go away . Look at a video of our 2-1 win there. Everyone stood up.

Did Filey say that he "meekly sat there"?

You weren't there but arrogantly categorised every City fan who did attend based on a few televised glimpses of the away end. Wrongly.

Who said he did? He commented on how crap it was to have so many people refusing to stand. Which I said was noticeable on TV but was insulted by you for having the temerity to comment on what I had seen on TV.

Play your cards right and it could happen. :bandit:

You will get complaints that the ones wanting to sit will have to sit lower down and that is totally unfair as they want to be higher up as the view is better.

Other clubs don't seem to have these problems. How many away fans at the KC do you see sitting down, or complaining to stewards and having fellow fans told to sit down or being ejected.

It must have been awful in big crowds like that. Makes you wonder why all those people went. A lot had been to the pub and most smoked. It would have been unbearable for you.

I know you think that you are on a winner, with the point. But the fact is that times have moved on. We now live the sanitised world of modern communities, where the biggest crime is to offend. I was brought up on NHE, my family formed part of the crowds of the 40's through to the current season. My Dad smoked Old Holbourne, drank Bass bitter, his work clothes smelt of coal, he rode a bike all of his working life. So do not try to make my post into anything but an observation of what it was actually like.

What a load of bollocks. Have you actually been to the Emirates?

We have moved on. Not necessarily for the better in a lot of ways.

But you still missed the original point. It was merely a throwaway comment to BMB about the experience being different not some sociological dissertation.

Been there with City 4 times inc the win. The make-up of the fans is pretty much the same each time. The videos of the 2-1 win are from when we had just scored or just pulled off the the shock win. No videos of the first half of when were under the cosh......
I don't monitor away fans at the Emirates but I imagine the cameras show them when their team has scored or is winning.
The only game we could stand unmolested was that Fabregash cup game in 2009 when we had plenty of empty seats. But when it gets full they enforce it.
I must say the seats are the biggest and most comfortable in the League, so shame to waste em....

Nearly everyone was sat down yesterday
Top right corner stood up

Never seen so many home fans / tourists in a home section

Did someone put tickets meant for city on one those ticket selling sites as there was loads of orientals in our section and more black people then live in Hull.

Plenty of videos on YouTube of away fans all standing at the Emirates if you want to look.

I have not been to the Sahara but .I know it has a lot of sand there.

The stewards at the Emirates always make everyone sit down, if you can get everyone to stand and ignore them (as Man United do), then you've a chance, but for most it's a daft game of cat and mouse all game.

They're not alone, several clubs enforce sitting, the stewards at Elland Road got the police to come and threaten me with ejection for ignoring repeated requests to sit down.

Your repeated claims that City fans are **** and everyone else's are great, is patent nonsense.

He quite clearly moved his arm to block the ball going in, it was a red all day long, I can't believe it's even being discussed.
Sam knew what he was doing . It was a penalty . The Jak had a bit of a rush of blood to the head and I don't know what he was trying to do . This situation would not have happened if the officials had not been wrong with earlier decisions . The ref has admitted the first goal was hand ball and if one of our boys had done a Gibbs on an Arsenal player you can bet it would have been a red card . Because of these decisions we were chasing the game and leaving gaps at the back . If we had been defending a clean sheet our back line would have very tight going into stoppage time and the penalty would not of accurred . Let's hope we have Clattenberg again and he remembers that he owes us a favour .

Danny Murphy said on MOTD that we've got a good chance of staying up.
