It wasn't meant to be a post having a huge go or overly aggressive post fwiw. Just saying that the board should be criticised for how they have dealt with the CB situation in January regardless of whether we get Caceres and he turns out to be good or not. All the (admittedly limited, but that is generally all a fan can go on) evidence points to this being a panic move as they couldn't get a CB over the line in January.

People have rightly noticed the Board and Les made a mistake. No one really thinks its on purpose, but why shouldn't it be pointed out?
Not being funny but we all jizz like an elephant bukkake party when they get it right, so only right for people to feel they are welcome to point out when its wrong.
I'm going to welcome Martin if he comes, and moan if he is **** or injured.

Seen him play for Juventus plenty of times and he's quality. Probably a cut above what we have minus VD. No tendency to hoof, comfortable on the ball and mobile. Hope it comes off!

Think Boruc showed that a free agent pick up mid season can be a good thing. He's 29 years old, was very good for Juventus. Yes he will need some fitness etc, but I think he could be a good pick up for the weeks to come. Get him in.
So in summary ... we are signing an injured CB with one leg who likes bananas but prefers plantains. Glad I've got that clear.
Panic? There must be some. We can't rule out the possibility of not seeing Virgil for a while. Gardos needs match time, but we don't have the luxury of giving any player "some game time". Stephens is young; Maya is looking OK. But we are one injury from catastrophe at the back and quite a few scary fixtures looming. So yeah, a bit of panic is not unwarranted!
