Yeah but if you were (like me) bothered about getting a decent seat for matches likely to sell out (e.g. Europa bundle), I used it to buy my favourite seat for all three, then it was useful. So it's not just a case of oh well it went to general sale so no point in having a membership.

Why would they cost more when you'd get less use out of them! I very much doubt there will be a drop off in numbers who buy next year. You don't think it was useful and yet you'll probably still buy one in the summer sums it up.

And the club will have taken new memberships into account so it's pretty menial. Mate your expenses for Inter away could have paid for us both to go to 5 extra games each ha, did you get money back?

On your first paragraph I take your point, and I'm pretty similar to be fair as I bought my bundle the first day they went on sale. Probably why I'll buy again as well to be fair!!

I get your point about using them for less time I just think there should be something in place so that fans who bought it pre season are rewarded for it. Even an extra fiver or something, people will stay pay it if they want to go to Wembley.

And are you sure they would have taken it into account? When they worked the numbers out they would have had x amount of members with 8, 7, 6, and 5 games respectively.

Do you think they would have looked at non members home games too and estimated how many would buy one? I'd still lke to know exactly how many fall into each category.

I still think away games should have come into it personally, though thats a different thing entirely and I've actually benefitted. I'd have had any non STH's who went to Israel prior to member windows too <ok>

As for Inter, yeah you're right there <laugh>

I actually heard from insurance yesterday and not getting anything. Just the Munich to Milan flight alone (€550!!) Is almost a season ticket <laugh>

    Bloody Lufthansa <grr>

If the club did that they'd be exploiting those fans.

I'm sure they would have. Seems incredibly naive to think they wouldn't have considered it. Same way they would consider people who rushed out to buy the remaining two home matches that fit the criteria to boost themselves up. I think away games in the League Cup should have counted personally but that's neither here nor there. I'll be pissed of if I don't get a ticket having been to Anfield.

    That's a shame.

The club exploits fans anyway if we're honest mate, that's not having a go btw, just common business sense.

That's why they've allocated it the way they have - ensure Arsenal & West Ham sell out and sell another few hundred/thousand memberships along the way.

As for the allocation thing, I mentioned (a lot) earlier in the thread that I really think we should use a points based system for away/cup games.

    Fairest way imo.

It did surprise me that the club didn't factor the Liverpool away game into the criteria (and I'm not just saying that because I went to it!) - both in terms of STH's and members.

I'm totally cool with a STH who went to Palace or Sunderland getting in ahead of me. But Liverpool at home was almost just a normal league game, in terms of people turning up. If you went to Liverpool away, I'd have thought you should get priority ahead of those who just went to Liverpool home. But hey, at the end of the day, all STH's get a ticket (if they book in time), so it's not the biggest deal in the world for me (especially now that I have mine).

I do hope that club announce how many members we now have. It'll be interesting to get some sort of idea how much money was raised in the past week though selling additional memberships. I know a few did it when the EL bundle was announced.

    1 and 2, yes.

3 was almost sold out when I was on there before midday today. Not sure about now.

Bloody hell, o well. It's a once in a life time, I'll just have to go for 4.

Edit: wrong way round, 1 & 2 are most expensive ones.

I had to queue for the best part of half an hour. The coach ticket would not add to my basket even though I tried a few times. A notice appeared that the coaches were getting full with arrangement for those departing from Eastleigh and Winchester having nearly gone. In the end I booked up a train instead and that particular website was suggestive that there were 500 other people on line trying to book tickets on the same day. This was shortly after 9.30am this morning!!

I had a similar problem with booking a seat on a coach. In the end I logged on a 2nd time & booked a coach seperately. You have to select your coach number. The default coach was full, so it wouldn't load into my basket, but no error message seemed to come up. Sorted now though.

Yeah but a lot of people may want 2 seats together. I'm hoping that's the case anyway.

Booking tickets on line like this is always fraught. It is the same for me each year when going to The Globe and when using Eurostar. Not that comfortable with the Saints website and have had earlier problems with forgetting passwords, etc.

I had to go to the ticket office to change a ticket for tomorrow's game, which took a ridiculously long time as the woman helping me was suffering long delays on her PC. The window next to me had four people in succession come up and ask questions related to their access to the website. Forgotten password ("You need to click on 'forgotten password'"), passwords in lower case v upper case ("Make sure your caps lock button isn't down"), a bloke who didn't have a PC ("find someone with one or go to the library") and a bloke who didn't realise his customer number was on his season ticket ("Yes, it's that number there").

It's easy to forget how unnatural this computer malarkey is to some folk.

Bought a West Ham ticket about an hour ago and I've only just realised that it's pushed me a day forward for this.

Still a few left on ticket exchange if anyone wants to buy one <ok>
