I'm praying that Khazri will get a chance now. He's not brilliant but he's one of our best players in my opinion, ideally he'd have a role that didn't require too much defensive work as he's not at his best there. Dangerous in attack though.
Big game player, mate.

He was awesome in the home games against Chelsea and Man Utd, last season. His corners are the best I've seen in this league, every one of them is so dangerous and causes problems. It's scandalous that we have a player of his ability not playing when we are in this situation and young lads like Januzaj who couldn't give a **** and offers nothing, has been playing regularly.

This is how I see the next 3 games.

Leicester = Man Utd (H) Swansea (A) Liverpool (H) - 4pts
Middlesborough = Spurs (A) Everton (H) Palace (A) - 1pt
Swansea = Man City (A) Leicester (H) Chelsea (A) - 0pt
Palace = Sunderland (H) Stoke (A) Middlesbrough (H) - 6pts
Hull = Man U (A) Liverpool (H) Arsenal (A) Burnley (H) - 4pts
Sunderland = Palace (A) Southampton (H) Everton (A) - 1pt

15th - Palace - 25pts
16th - Leicester - 25pts
17th - Middlesboro - 22pts
18th - Swansea - 21pts
19th - Hull - 20pts
20th - Sunderland - 17pts

I predicted we'd be in this position a few weeks ago, I'm just deflated at the moment and when I look at the team there's no quality there in midfield or going forward, to win matches.

I think Sunderland and Hull will be relegated and then it's out of Swansea and Middlesboro for that last remaining spot. Probably Middlesboro.

It's going to be our undoing. We haven't even got anybody who can chip in with a few goals to help Defoe out. We haven't got anybody apart from Vic to hold the ball up and nobody in midfield who can break away and create. To one dimensional init.

Sorry for late reply fella. I was assassinating a character apparently. Agreed. Was saying earlier to Nostalgic. We should put somebody in the hole behind Defoe. Kharzi and Januzaj can both play there so we've got two for the position and it can be done with 3 at the back. I reckon it's our best chance of being able to attack a bit. 3 at the back and body between Midfield and Defoe.

Yep, other than that I'm at a loss on how we can link Defoe with the rest of the planet. <laugh>

A football debate got heated, I was accused of a personal attack because I found the views bizarre, he then went on to carry out personal attacks contradicting himself the whole way.

I personally attacked him after he accused me like but not before.

Fun and games on the transfer thread. Boys will be boys, that's all <laugh>

Threads way too long for me to get through it and I don't want to read it out of context. I just can't be arsed keeping up at the moment.

Sunderland are ****ing horrible.

I think someone needs to Bang Moyes and Khazris heads together.

Khazri is much better than honeyman or Januzai. He is probably a better option than Borini too.

If we're playing 3 at the back I would be tempted with Larsson at right wing back. He is a decent defender and far more creative than Jones.

The issue with 3 at the back is having wing backs who can also get forward and create.

I suppose we should play something like this:

.........................Pickford.......................
Larsson..Kone..JOS..Denyer..Ovieado
...................N'Dong.....Rodwell.............
...........................Khazri.........................
.................Defoe...........Borini...............

What else can we do when we don't have anybody capable of building an attack? You need a few players to do that and we've got none. Our limitations dictate our style of play just like it has for so many years. We never replaced, Sess, we never replaced Gyan, we never replaced Steed or Zendon, we've never replaced all these players with anybody remotely capable to put attacking periods of football together.
But often in games we have had the upper hand and been building attacks quite comfortably. In the West Ham game that I cited in my first post, we were doing well and their fans were expecting us to go on to win. The game was for the taking when inexplicably he put everyone behind the ball to play for the point and we went on to lose. We do have players in the squad who can build attacks but he refuses to play them. He's overly cautious and that, in my opinion, will be our undoing.

Why is it that you see everyone around us taking points from the top teams (man U/Liverpool/Arsenal) yet you don't see us taking them? Just don;t see it - these predictor things never work the way they "should" and no-one expected us to get a point last night.

I know these predictors don't play out that easily otherwise I'd be one seriously rich bastard. I think we are the worst team in the league, tbh, and that scoring goals to win games is going to be our achilles heel.

All the other teams have had a fairly decent transfer window and should improve for it. Ours has been close to a disaster.

I think we'll get beat comfortably against Palace and that will shatter the players and have us cut even further away.

Just how I see things.

Can`t argue with that. Obviously time will tell whether the transfers work but it certainly looks that way. They all seem to have at least tried except us.

Best I leave this alone. I can feel another Short rant coming on.

I think we did try mate, but were unsuccessful in our efforts.

Reverse psychology - expect nowt so anything we get is a bonus.
