Apparently we spent 7mil but 23mil left. Players on good contracts who we went for did not fancy a fight, so leave them to their feather bed lives, there is more to football teams than how much they cost.

Moyes is on record in the Echo recently saying he is up for the fight and can build on the great team spirit at the club, especially after the result against Spurs. Not a million miles from the performances we turned in under Sam for which we were praised- at least he is being positive and it would be useful if some on here could be.

Oh, and by the way, he had a joke and laugh with Pocchietino on Tues before the game if that is allowed. Pochietino wasn't smiling after the game though which suits me.

Harsh to pin it all on Borini imo, the whole team needs to start linking better with their teammates. Borini can't feed Defoe from left right and centre. We had the same problems when Borini was out injured anyway.

Not totally doing that, but just pointing out that we can break, but with somebody of a less excitable nature could have clinically been more effective. Defoe's positioning was right for simple passes but Borini got carried away.

That's the problem with playing strikers in wide positions. They rarely make the right pass, Connor was the worst for it I've ever seen, did it every single game. Their instinct is to try to create themselves a chance rather than create.

As we have already discussed, Januzaij relieved of defensive duties and be a half way point towards JD, or Khazri totally on the left but further forward. Khazri and PvA trying to link up down the left rarely worked , but it is a strong option now.
