The most positive thing here is Robertson stayed. I don't know what that took, perhaps an actual kidnap and bundling into the luggage hold of the coach to Manchester, but you can't have players like him all upping and leaving. It had to stop, so happy with that.

As for the ones in - no clue. We'll see.

Personally, I'm devastated to have sold a player who had made it crystal clear he didn't want to be here, for 10 million, and to have replaced him with an established international with 40 caps and experience of 2 Euro Finals. What a ridiculous decision!!

And as for signing a 6ft 5ins, footballing, former Inter Milan captain and 21 times capped Italian international.... Totally ridiculous!!! Jakey... Jakey, Jakey would have done a far, far better job in there........

Grosicki and Markovic are both wingers, so we've added those two. We've also added a natural RB so Elmo can be played further forward.

Exactly.. We have added 2 pacy wingers to the team which is what Silva wanted. Im sure he would have wanted more but a few players turned us down.

It sounds like we wanted Pepe & Grosicki. When Pepe backed out we went for Salibur. From what I can gather the club were co confident of landing Salibur that we backed out of the Gradel deal. Also as OLM mentioned we were in for Honda (attacking mid) but he rejected a move to us. Add to that the Watford guy who went to Boro and it sounds like we really tried to do a lot more business.

For all their efforts, we should have started much earlier. Unless every player we went for wanted to wait until the last minute in hopes a bigger club would come in for them. When that didnt happen then its a bit of a rush to get the deal over the line.

Either way, we've got a team that can at least compete now. We need that golden 40'ish points to survive. It's doable when you look at our fixtures but we really have to win the winnable games. Most home games and the odd away game plus taking points off those around us would surely be enough.

Our new look team?

__________Jak
Omar Maguire Dawson Robertson
_______Thudd N’Diaye
_Grosicki__Evandro__Marković
_________Hernandez

Bench; Marshall, Ranocchia, Elmo, Tymon, Meyler, Clucas, Niasse

We also made a £15m profit on player sales, so anyone who thought that bank loan was to fund purchases was wrong. No doubt some of that profit will be eaten up by an increased wage bill, but hopefully some further debt will also be repaid.

More likely the sale of Livermore and Snodgrass will be used to pay off the bank loan.

Damn .. we didn't get Salibar... he looked to have some potential... maybe next time... but Grosicky for 7 million euro.... robbery... and thats us not them... !!!

Do you have a link to Snodger making it crystal clear he didn't want to be here?

Who has suggested Jake would do a far better job than Rabocchia?

Eyes wide shut.

You can search for the article yourself but Silva confirmed that on his first day, Snodgrass made it clear he wanted to leave and since then did everything to push the deal through.

Done good players here and not even mention of Berbatov.

If Robbo had gone id have been well up for Caceres, very good player and not even 30. As if Essien is only 34, classic 'African Age' there methinks.

We can't sign any free transfers. 25 man squad is full and you can only make changes to it during a transfer window.

Have we submitted our squad? How do you know all 25 spaces have been named? And if you cant add any after the window then why have Sky bothered with the article?

You have to submit it at transfer deadline and you can't leave spaces if you have players over 21, no matter if they're injured or whatever, you have to fill it with what players you have.
