Really is **** from the board if we don't bring in a CB. Even if VVD wasn't injured we need one! He is out for a month least so we have two fit CB's, one of which is inexperienced and may not be premier league quality.

Les said he wouldn't let Fonte go until we had a replacement. I f*cking hope he keeps to his word or its just really embarrassing.

Les tends to speak in absolutes when he really means "maybe". I've come to accept that his statements should not be taken too literally.

The telegraph has hinted VVD is out for months rather than weeks......it's going to be a long run in until the end of season.

I take from that "Les is a bullshitter" haha.

We had control over this entire situation until we sold Fonte. Still an hour left for a loan player but not looking good!
 
Really hoping that Gabbiadini will link up well with Boufal. He looked really good tonight, and could be our creative CM in the future?

This for me is the biggest disappointment, and does nothing to dispel the media view that we are a selling club.

Unless Les pulls something out the bag in the next hour

1 hour to improve a lot of people's opinion of him.

Obviously even if he doesn't bring someone in I won't just dislike him, he has done well for us over the years. However it would be poor.

Gabby took one look at the service he would have got fro the midfield, and turned around and is currently having a nice glass of Chianti on the harbour in Naples with Versuvius in the background.
