Wouldn't say goalkeeper is too high on our list of priorities ... perhaps McCarthy's injury is more serious than we imagined?

Looks a bit 'not very good continental goalie'. Pushes everything spectacularly over the bar or wide and at times he looks like he's go 'no hands' as we used to say about oppositon goalies.
BUT is is only a highlights reel and how often have I been wrong this season? This shoud mean he is actually brilliant.

A loan of a keeper is fairly high priority because Taylor doesn't play however desperate we are, Forster has played in some discomfort and there is still half a season to go. We are one injury from disaster.
Seems a bit harsh, highlight reel is always going to go for the extravagant saves. He's 21 years and has 50 appearances which is pretty impressive, it's a loan so if we don't rate him we can just send him back

Bloody hell. Makes him older than me. Not by much, I might add.
I do love the way fans want to rubbish a player based on a quick video and bugger all information. Radical idea, I know, but should we give the lad a chance? I too am concerned about the message regarding our goalkeeping situation, but then what do I know? Well, sod all like most of us. If Claude thinks we need another goalie, and he knows this lad is half decent then that'll do me on the information front
One of the drums I beat (and I have a few ) is that it is very hard for a team like us to have a really sound second goalie. The good ones want to play or at least sit on the bench earning a fortune at a bigger club. Be great if we can get in a keeper who can step up into Fraser's shoes (should he leave), but for the moment a reliable keeper will do just fine as a number two.

The only reason I am underwhelmed by this is that I want an attacker and a defender.

We are down to the bare bones of 32 goalkeepers at the club, so makes sense.
There really was no point in signing Taylor. Presumably we can't call Gaza back from his loan if we're looking to bring in a keeper on loan. Really unfortunate Mcarthy picked up a long term injury straight away.
