I went for a jog this morning. 6ft snowdrift? Pah! Freezing rain and ice? I didn't notice it. Readybrek? Nope. Crack. Brilliant stuff to kick start the day.
Rokk Try this to find out who's going http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/26733-Fulham-away OT I live a couple of miles down the road and it was bright sunshine Went to work in shorts aand a vest
i just finished my jog in pink leotard and bare feet, it was weird though as when i got to work there were 50 blokes following me!
Morning gentlemen. I'm going up to Leeds tomorrow ToonSi, I'd be grateful if you could organise decent weather between 12.20pm and 3.00pm. Cheers.
It's been alright recently, it hasn't rained for a while (I bet I've cursed you now sorry!) Do you live in Melton Mowbray? Got a friend from uni down that way who lives near Oakham in Rutland, even the charvers are posh down there
I live in a village just outside Melton Mowbray, and whilst it is rather (ahem) quaint and free from "urban rif raff".., we had a rather disturbing incident last year. We had a couple of 'hoodies' from Melton Mowbray decide to cause havoc and break the tranquility we have enjoyed for years. The bounders hid behind gravestones and pelted passing cars with eggs, after dusk I may add. This went on for about a month until they got caught by the lady who does the flower arranginging in the church, who for some unknown reason had invited her husband along to help her. This bloke is a local farmer and can crush walnuts in his eyelids, whilst eating a raw bull for breakfast. He didn't see the funny side of their little caper and susequently administered a damn good thrashing to both of them. It made headlines on the village newsletter, actually relegating the ongoing story of dog mess on the village green to the inside front page. Life's exciting in rural Leicestershire.
Don't know how you cope so easily with the hustle and bustle of village life jimiley. They must have a damn good village pub!
We used to have two great village pubs, however the one that was only 30 yards from my front door closed down, unfortunately I have to walk 100 yards to the other one so I don't get out much...
It's ridiculously flat around there, I've been a few times to visit my mate and found I could walk for miles without much effort or realisation how far we'd walked. Rutland is ridiculously posh (they seceeded from Leicestershire didn't they?), went to one of his mate's 21st and it was at at a 22 bedroom house, everyone spoke the queens and they had a chapel on the right hand side of the courtyard where they put the music on! I felt like I proper stuck out with my accent , think I ended putting on my posh phone voice just to save face! I say think because my memory is very blurry of that night - drank expensive port and chatted up posh birds all night .
I remember the first (and only time) me and the missus took the dogs ( springers) to Rutland Water for a walk, they decided to go for a swim. Caused absolute mayhem amongst the bird watching fraternity as they spent a good hour swimming after anything with wings. It's amazing how dogs have the ability to go deaf when they're having fun.
Last year my dog (a little yorkie) decided to go catching dragon flies which resulted in me having to fish her out of the Thames!
1513:The Guardian and Telegraph are both reporting that Liverpool have met Newcastle's valuation for striker Andy Carroll.
Chronicle leads with an Andy Carroll story stating 'I want to stay!' but the BBC say he's very interested in the move to Liverpool... Now. Which member of a very untrustworthy industry do I believe in less?
if this criac is true and let's face it the longer the day drags on the more true it seems the minor annoyance(the major one being losing Carroll obviously) is the fact you know pardew won't get the full 35m to spend on the squad plus the fact he'll have a matter of hours to sort a replacement out (god hope it's not a Kuyt swap + cash deal)
getting a bit stupid on here at the moment i know some people are upset but some of the comments are way overboard
