Neil Taylor from Swansea to us? Left back not getting any game time for them and if we sell PVA we will have a pot of cash to burn.
Would have Taylor as back up/competition for PVA but not as a replacement. Gearing up for the Championship already.
I hope they sign him and he ****s himself by betting on the game and gets a lifetime ban... Then gets taken out by the dodgy bookies... Too far? OK maybe serious career ending injury
I find it strange that deadline day is a match day - they moved it a few years back iirc but we have a home game on Tuesday so Moyes can;t be heavily involved if any deals are going to go through at the last minute
I would be surprised if Defoe didn't have a relegation release clause but not sure why it would be for free. True, it's more likely to be the £5m mark than over £10m but either way you're 2 points from safety and survival is worth over £100m. Whilst everyone else is speculating you (and perhaps Hull) look to be accumulating - ffs.
I wouldn't want Taylor as our full back, in the Championship. Awful footballer, one of those players that has stole a living.
Fair enough, you've clearly seen more of him than I have. He's played fairly regularly for Swansea in the PL to be fair though. At least he's not a crock
If Taylor's the one I'm thinking of he's crap. I remember seeing Wales at the last tournament and he was the worst player in the side.
Suppose at least a fractured cheekbone isn't going to reoccur - such as someone with a dodgy knee. Having said that, I've just googled him and read he broke his ankle at the SOL under a challenge from Craig Gardner, what the **** do I know?
I know there aren't loads of quality left backs out there on the cheap at least but I'm sure we could do better with the money for PVA. Not that I think we should sell him and definitely not to Palace.
When people on here keep saying that Moyes is trying to replicate the success he had at Everton I didn't think that he would be trying to do it with the old players he had there at that time.
Taken from Sky Sports: POTENTIAL SUNDERLAND TARGETS? Swansea City's Neil Taylor and Everton's Bryan Oviedo and Darron Gibson have been earmarked as potential Sunderland signings once Patrick van Aanholt joins Crystal Palace, writes the Newcastle Chronicle.
