We're in a relegation fight with four months left of the season. If he's ****, which has been the case for the past three years, it will be a wasted loan spot. He's a winger, so why would he have been expected to replace Suarez?

Origi was brought in to replace Suarez. Not Markovic.

He's a winger/forward, he regularly came on/off for Sterling or Sturridge at Liverpool.

I don't get your point. The fact he was **** for Liverpool is irrelevant, the fact he was **** in the Premier League is the issue. If he can't cut it in the Premier League for Liverpool, he likely won't cut it in the Premier League for Hull City. The only thing that has changed is which club he plays for; the Premier League is still the same.

If he was **** for, say, Accrington, then yeah, don't bother. I'll never understand why we signed Rowan Vine, he wasn't good enough in a much worse QPR side than ours. Ditto Adebola.

If you've got quality players around you on a higher wavelength, your lack of talent is going to stand out a mile away. Drop him into our squad, where the level of talent matches his own and you'll get a better player because they'll play more to his strengths. Of course, for some players, it's just about it not working out. Some players need a fresh start and if he can get it here, it's win/win for everybody.

Apparently we've done a deal with Van der Wiel according to this ****puffin of a site. http://sportwitness.co.uk/hull-city-make-offer-key-target-talks-coming-days-player-agrees-move/

Makes no sense as we've signed Omar, unless he is just cover or he's going to be pushed forward as a right winger. It also suggests the deal is done with the player, but we've not agreed a deal with Fener so Ehab is flying out to meet their president. Which isn't usually how these things work and definitely will shut the door on any deal.

Futbol Arena have reported Hull City have made an official offer for Fenerbahçe defender Gregory van der Wiel. The Dutch right back has also been tracked by Sporting Lisbon, but Fenerbahçe’s wiliness to sell him permanently is proving a stumbling block for both clubs.

Futbol Arena says Fenerbahçe have rejected Hull’s initial bid for Van der Wiel, which was a loan offer. The Hull City board are determined to get the deal done and the website reports the leaders of the Premier League side are set for an official meeting with Fenerbahçe’s president Aziz Yildirim in the coming days.

The former PSG and Ajax right back has reportedly agreed the deal with Hull City and now the Tigers have to convince Fenerbahçe.

Van der Wiel had previously stated his desire to stay at Fenerbahçe, where he earns €3.5m a year after tax, but manager Dick Advocaat has closed the door on the player, as he continues to train with Fenerbahçe’s reserves.

Marco Silva is looking to add to his Hull City squad before the window closes, and he’s got around a week left to get deals over the line.
