I layed City to go down prior to the bournmouth match. Could cash out now with £15 profit. I'm letting it ride cause when we draw with Chelsea the £15 will dramatically increase
He laid on city to go down.

Unless there's special terminology I'm missing? To lay a bet is to bet on an outcome. Which he said was us to go down.

EDIT: looks like it is a terminology thing. Which I attempted to get clarified after clearly misinterpreting what he initially meant. Not sure I argued black is white or anything of the sort.

Just one point to note. I believe Steve Bruce did know the squad was not good enough and we needed to bring new players in to take us to the next level or however you want to phrase it. This is where him and Rehab fell out as Rehab wanted to try a 'different approach', 'The cheap alternative' that left whoever was given the job no ****ing chance at all and leaves the overall value and effectiveness of the squad diminished. I am excited about Silva (tempered with a good dose of reality). Exciting second half of the season? Well it will be more interesting than if Phelan or Bruce was here. We are still bolloxed thanks to boy blunder and if you think that is being negative hard cheese old chap.
The problem is, maybe Bruce did know it wasn't good enough, but it was a team he built! If you said to me 'give me 30mil to spend and I'll make a decent team' and then get relagated. And then a year later your saying to me 'give me 30mil and I'll make a decent team' then I'd be a little reluctant to give you it!

Also please explain why we are bolloxed?
We have a new manager, great reputation, getting new players in, made a bright start and are level on points with 4th bottom!
Bloody hell talk about throwing the towel in!

I agree about Bruce. Never thought he got the best out of what he had and IF we had a football person running the club changes would have been made in a more thoughtful and planned way with a long term strategy. Except we have Rehab and his dad (or is it t'other way round? Doesn't really matter). That is why we are bolloxed by the way. **** owner, no long term thinking. I presume your phrase "great reputation" relates to Silva and not Hull City Tigers. It will be a bloody miracle if he can keep us up. I wish him well but am not convinced even he can achieve it. I hope he does if it means Rehab ****s off but I kinda hoped we would win at Wembley if it meant they would and they haven't so I'm not bothered either way really. The thought of seeing them jailed (according to Obadiah this is a possibility) gets me more excited than what division we will be in next year.

What's an instagram

An instant telegram. As soon as the man with the morse code key stops dit-dit-daing then a piece of paper tape with holes in it is put into an envelope and posted to your house. You then put the paper tape into a reader gizmo and hey presto a copy of the message comes out of a slot on the box/gizmo thingy. Progress apparently.

Couldn't you just have looked it up if you didn't know

Good look anybody reading this thread who actually wants to know about transfers

I agree with that mate! Let's get behind MS and the team and hopefully we survive and the Allams clear off. We all need a dream!

It was a team he built but the Premier League changes every year and the team he built wasn't good enough because teams like Palace started spending 30m on Benteke and Bournemouth 15m on Ibe.

Also, he did make a decent team. He didn't know Snodgrass would get injured within a week of starting the season and Diame wouldn't be fit for most the season. Keep them two and I reckon we stay up.

I recently read an article on managers - now and previous. Mourinho was in the previous slot (great in his day), but Klopp and Pocchetino were today's. The difference seemed to be about 'Press and Possess'. I think Marco is of the 'Press and Possess' school.
