Who says he wanted to go? We accepted a fee for Chez and he was in tears about leaving.

This morning we seemed to reject 8 rising to 10 so I suspect this must be more like 10 with no add-ons, or perhaps there are add ons to rise to 12 - as it says in the region of 10.

Hopefully reinvested well and quickly.

Transfers don't generally get this far if the player doesn't want to move. They must have a good idea that he wants to go, as will we.

All new managers like to build their own team

You really think this is Silva's choice? It'll simply be that it's a decent fee and he doesn't want to be here. See Ehab's comments earlier in the week about players who don't want to be here.

I don't think there's a lot we can do at this point. Look at Payet. West Ham said he won't be sold but if the player really wants a move they generally get it. All you can do is get as much money as possible for them and hope to replace them well, but that's the really tricky bit.

Typical overreaction on here <laugh> you all put these players on such a pedestal when the reality is they're all ****e, Livermore has been an ever present in 3 Premier League seasons for us and we've been abysmal in all 3 of those seasons.

He may have been one of our better players during his time here but what does that really mean? we've been painfully out of our depth in most games.

Frankly i couldn't give a toss who leaves, I trust the managers judgement on this one. If Andrè Andrè is on the radar then it makes sense to sell Jake, Hudds and Mason are hitting top form and we've just brought in Evandro aswell. You can't play them all ffs.

IF the money is reinvested then I'm OK with it, let's wait and see.

Getting rid of Jake, but carrying on playing Diomande?

<doh>
Totally different position!!!! And have no doubt Dio will be backup to the front 3

Again like I say, if Livermore doesn't suit his style of football or he thinks we already have enough cover for those midfield positions and he can use the money to strengthen other positions then crack on.

I know you've not said it but I know what you're thinking.

Come on, WBA are an established premier league outfit, we're bottom of the league, he'll be getting a payrise with this move. Every single one of our players would go in that situation, Allams or no Allams.

As I said, Chester didn't want to go even after we accepted an offer for him. Plenty of players don't necessarily want to move but understand it's best for the team.

Sad to see him go but hopefully Silva will bring someone better suited to his style of football in. Or maybe he believes in Thudd, Mason, Evandro, Meyler, Clucas etc he's got enough central midfield options and he can spend the £10m elsewhere like on a much needed winger.

Time will tell!

If we had to sell in order to strengthen, Jake is our least key player with a real value in a position where we're saturated with players. Clucas, Mason and Meyler can all offer a similar contribution on the pitch. The only other players we could have got that sort of money for would be Hernandez, Snodgrass and Robertson, and we would truly be in the **** if we lost any of those three.

It's **** all to do with position, I'm saying getting rid of one of our better players and then suggesting it's okay because we can carry on playing one of our **** ones, is bloody stupid.
