It's the only town in the UK that's an anagram of ****er.
 
Formerly known as New Amsterdam. Then when the Brits turfed out the cloggies it became New York.
Hence so good they named it twice.

New York named after the Duke of York, later James II

He was also the Duke of Albany which gave it's name to the state capital of New York.

These winter nights just fly by in our household.
 
I think £10m would severely test the resolve to keep hold of Snoddy tbh .. and given MS appears to like pace I'm not convinced he would stand in his way if the amount was tabled provided he could reinvest it
 
I've now amended the opening post on this thread, so anyone who wants to check at a glance can see who've we've signed/been linked with and who's gone. I'll keep updating it as and when things happen.
