Losing 3 nil now...at home...it leaves them just 5 points outside relegation zone. Chelsea go back 7 points clear Great weekend for the 3 London clubs Lots of pressure now on the 2 Merseyside and 2 Manchester clubs tomorrow
"Leicester are ****ing dog ****. I switched on at half time and I've yet to see them test Courtois, awful when considering they're the defending champions and their opponent set the worst PL pts tally for defending PL champions the season before," <FACT>
Like I said earlier...it's the total lack of effort that I can't get my head around...tens of thousands a week but can't be ****ed!
Bet Batshuayi is loving his decision to join Chelsea, can't even get a start when Costa ain't playing. Looked a real promising player at Standard and Marseille but is seemingly going to be another that likely ends up on the Chelsea loan circuit and then fades into obscurity.
Sadly, I agree. Not sure why Conte is leaving him out when Costa isn't available.....give the kid a damn chance. The few times he has come on, he has looked decent, and grabbed a couple of goals
Conte must have his reasons...Unfortunately he is a good coach with sensible reasons for his decisions
Jamie Vardy has had just 19 touches all game. 3 of those were kick offs following a Chelsea goal. As the age-old latin saying goes, Chattus ****ae gettus bangdere.
In fairness to Conte he knows what he's doing, plus the result hardly makes it look as though leaving him on the bench a bad choice. I just think Batshuayi made a terrible choice in joining you guys. As much as I despise Costa, he's one of the top forwards around and so for Batshuayi, a young player building a reputation for himself and looking to cement his position in the Belgian fold, to go and be his back up just shows a lack of ambition on his part. He'd have been better off joining West Ham, done the business there for a season and then just Payet his way out of the club where someone like Liverpool would've probably taken a punt on him for big money.
Chelsea have surpassed their points tally for the entirety of last season (50). If Leicester go down, HIAG deserves a knighthood. No CL football to blame. They've been found out, it's as simple as that. Sold their best player in the summer, relying on an ageing defence (arthritis must surely be affecting Huth's elbows at this stage of his career?) and seemed reliant on a cocky loud mouth up front having more than one good season in his entire career.
Claudio Ranieiri in his post-match interview: "We played at a high level. If you take away the first two goals, we play equal to them. The first two goals made the difference. If you take the first 2 goals away, it is a different match." Yes, he actually just said this. Dilly ding-dilly dong.
An Everton win and a draw in the biggest, best and most beloved game of the PL calendar (TM) would be perfect for us.
