Can't believe they will be this bad when we play them next week. All credit to Everton for a good game plan and display but City have been awful and have shown no bottle.
Just think there's no excuse for the constant whining and bitching coming from the city players every time they have been closed down...being out played is one thing but but out fought is inexcusable
He's only 18 and obviously don't want to put too much pressure on the kid, but he looks like he could be an excellent player for the future. Such a mature, accomplished display in midfield.
<BBC> Nathan Daniels: With these supposed superstar managers coming & struggling in the Premier League, how impressive does it make Wenger's achievements look? Steve Howes: The great Pep is turning into a myth. Santa, tooth fairy & Pep. If he doesnt have an easy league, he looks very average. Karl Brookes: It's not Sterile Possession, more Pointless Possession. Man City sacked two trophy winners for this? </BBC> The first comment is in for the sake of completeness + comedy value.
City look like conceding every time Everton attack. Their midfield has been non-existent and their defence all over the shop. I'm not sure how Guardiola's gonna sort their defence out because it's not good enough to help win them the title.
No doubt rumours of transfers to United, City, Chelsea, Real, PSG or Barca are now going to fill the media
I doubt they will win this season. But I dread to think how much the cost is going to be to get the quality ball-playing back four next season that Pep has been spoilt with for years.
To be fair, I'm not sure how he thought having a squad of defenders like Zabaleta, Clichy, Sagna, Kolarov, Stones and Otamendi would be good enough to win them the title.
Hopefully any hopes of them pulling it all together in the week will be lost in the media **** storm that will likely embrace Pep...... Here's hoping anyway
I don't think that they're actually bad defenders, just completely unsuited to his system. The full-backs are all quite old and he needs them to cover a lot of ground. They're not really up to it, so the whole thing falls apart.
