It was certainly evident that Pawel did not shirk defensive duties and gave Darnell some good cover. I reckon he covered most of the right half of the pitch and was effective everywhere - a great individual performance within the overall team effort

What a ball from Ryan Manning. 8:46 PM - 12 Jan 2017 8080 Retweets 112112 likes A sample of the glowing reports over here for young Mr Manning......
Manning's arrival in our team and his performances are not going unnoticed over here. I was out working Thursday night and the lads on Newstalk were purring about his pass for Mackie's goal and kept mentioning it was our third win on the spin with Manning in the team. Bit early to be talking about a Senior international call up but I wouldn't be surprised to see him getting an under 21 call up sooner rather than later.
The annoying thing was that the Sky Co-Commentator said that it was a "bit fortuitous that the ball got to Mackie" and didn't alter his comments even after seeing the replay........it was a thing of beauty and if Rooney, Kane, Messi, Ronaldo, Ibrahimavic, Hazard etc etc had played that sort of pass we wouldn't hear the last of it......

Barton on the bench for Burnley. Some would say, the best place for him. Others would say, his comeback is almost complete. Meant to post this on the "today's games" thread. Apologies.
Agreed. I thought the lad did pretty well from the bit of stream I saw, did well in combination with Pawel Wszolek. Well done Furlong.
I'd say that Furlong was significantly better than any player Reading had down their left, nullified most threats and only let crosses come in during that last 20 minutes or so when he tired a bit and we dropped deeper and played more narrowly. Our right dominated the game and so I can't see that the Reading left side warrant any credit. Kelly looked handy for them and McCleary looked dangerous but they forgot to give him the ball.
Hey. Found this if anyone is interested. The whole Reading game here: http://www.fullmatchreplay.com/replay.php?match=220248&vid=67878
