I can understand where you are coming from but Bournemouth away isn't an easy 3 points anymore. We drew there for a start! Admittedly we weren't 3 down but it's not such a terrible result. You have 3 very winnable games and then Chelsea away. You never know things could turn around quickly.

I wouldn't have minded so much if we hadn't lost B2B matches against City and Everton (two fixtures where I reasonably expected 4 points), but if you lose games like that, you have to be able to beat the likes of Bournemouth, especially with Chelsea so far ahead as it is. And for 70 minutes, it was men against boys. We looked so out of our depth which is unacceptable when you have the players/resources we have compared to Bournemouth.

So I'm just as (if not more) angered by the performance, as well as the result. That's why I'm not in celebratory mood.

I hope people (i.e. pundits and journalists) don't forget that we drew a game we needed to win. I'm seeing Arsenal fans jubilant on social media and the BBC saying it's a 'stunning comeback'. We were 3-0 down against a team who shouldn't have been beating us so easily in the first place and, to make it worse, we were getting thoroughly outfought and outplayed in every department. Let's not forget their entire squad cost less than Granit Xhaka <doh>.

So you should absolutely see this as 2 points dropped. Just as any reasonable Arsenal fan should.

Joke result, joke performance. Can't wait for Wenger to **** off.

Yeah, Bournemouth were the better side on balance. That was a crucial 30 seconds when Gosling missed the chance to make it 4 with Francis getting sent off just after.

As much as you needed the win, Bournemouth at home have been very good, beating Liverpool and getting a point off us.

Yeah, Xhaka's toilet. Wanyama and Kante were both available for less when you signed him too.

Don't worry, we'll make sure it's a point gained on Chelsea tomorrow :D

Gary Rowett and Alan Pardew leading the betting, at the moment.
Would Pardew take it? Too risky for him right now, surely?
I know some one will take it but they resemble the lunatics that run Leeds.
When the manager who gets you promoted leaves cos he'd rather be jobless than manage in the premier league you know you are doing something wrong.

On the contrary. I don't think Xhaka is toilet, he's performed impressively in quite a lot of games. He has a wonderful array of passing and is very strong on the ball, but he needs to learn to be less rash when making a challenge. He's conceded 2 penalties in the last 3 weeks because of pure carelessness.

I think he will come good eventually, he just needs to iron out some flaws in his game. He has potential to be a very good player for us, though. Still only 24, as well.

A87...

Is that you?

Well, they are passionate! But didn't I see that 4 at their stalls down Petticoat Lane?.....or on soapboxes in Hyde Park........?

The Spammers are rumoured to have made a £5m bid to Sunderland for Jermain Defoe. Given that he is the one and only chance they have of preserving their PL status and continuing to sup the rich gravy that status brings, I would reckon his worth to Sunderland is about what The Spammers would want for Payet, Antonio and Lanzini combined.

Expecting to get stuff on the cheap would appear to be habit forming.

ADDENDUM

Following reports from Sky Sports, it appears that the bid was £6m, not the 'ridiculous' £5m stated above. There has been conjecture that some 'magic beans' were also offered as part of the deal. Those suggestions are unsubstantiated, as yet.

Why did we let Defoe go? I think he would have proved of more use than Jansen!......even though he would not have been first choice.

Good news for you guys. Fernandinhos red card appeal has been rejected. He will be missing 3 PL games including the ones against you.

They appealed it? Why?

And we know you guys are as pure as the driven snow.

Under Mourinho nope. Under Conte we're far better plus all our thugs have stopped playing (does Costa still count?), JT, Ivanovic, unreformed Costa are gone... from the starting 11.

Still got Cesc for the sly digs though

Jose Fonte has put in a transfer request. I wonder which team's tapped him up?

They've got to have so much money that they can afford to burn it on a player that has no long-term future and is going to cost them a fair few notes. Possibly a manager who only cares about today and nothing for tomorrow. I wonder who could that be? It's a toughie, for sure.

Everton complete the signing of Ademola Lookman from Charlton for a League 1 record of £11m. Seems mightily excessive for a 19 year old who has scored a mere 10 goals in more than a season at one of the worst teams in the Championship last year/mid table irrelevance this year in League 1. I can only assume that they hope he will be the second Dele Alli, but quite a risk for that amount of money. £11m?! Surely Charlton would've bitten their hand off for far less? This kind of money changes the lay of the land forever - every lower league side with a slightly promising youngster who manages to score a hat-trick against the likes of Walsall and Shrewsbury will suddenly be flogged to PL clubs for £15-20m! It's madness!
