Are you sure that's not your dislike of Everton coming out? <whistle>

For me, the defining home moments of that season (STH at time) were Villa & Boro.

Particuarly Boro... 2-0 up with 90 mins played <grr>

So Sam Allardyce is complaining about the fixtures following the Palace defeat, Swansea and Palace about on par. You can see from the table below who really has grounds for complaint. Saints fans venting their spleen at recent results should also take note. That doesn't mean I'm any less disappointed or don't believe we could have done better. Lets all hope for improvement and get behind the team and not the sofa.

Hours taken to complete all three Christmas and New Year matches.
Hours taken from the start of a team's first game to the end of their third game
    1 Chelsea 223
    2 Watford, Crystal Palace 201.5
    3 Swansea 199
    4 Arsenal, Bournemouth 198.75
    5 Stoke 172.75
    6 West Ham 172.5
    7 Man Utd 172.25
8 Burnley, Everton, Sunderland, Tottenham, West Brom 170
    9 Hull, Man City 167.75
    10 Leicester, Middlesbrough 167.5
    11 Liverpool 143.75
    12 Southampton 117

Let's not forget that even players who were rotated, they don't benefit as much as you think ... there's less time spent on match training, which means that they are less prepared for a match.

Just cos they didn't play on the Saturday, doesn't mean they're going to be fit and ready for Monday.

    Thought it worth mentioning.

A long gap followed by 3 games in 6 days is far from ideal....I reckon we'd have got a result against WBA normally as our home form is pretty good. Klopp tried to blame his result on playing 3 games in 6 days....a journo pointed out that that was Southampton. :)

We got stitched right up. What would have been far better, is if the FA cup was played in this period. That would have allowed fair squad rotation. But, with different priorities, that would seem equally bad to others. Its a tough on, but three games in six days is bonkers.

Lawro doing a Lawro and predicting a Tottenham win tonight because it's going to be such a hard achievement for Chelsea to win 15 (or whatever!) games in a row.

Never nice seeing Spurs win, but this is good for the league, it keeps teams like L'pool in with a shout, and that suits us at this stage.
On a side note, Dele is on fire, he's stepped up a level this season.
