I'm not so sure we have good enough to stay up , but I reckon it's stronger than some of our results and performances , which why I can't get my head around those that seem to think Phelan is blameless , he worked for a pair of mentalists , but we have better than 6 at Bournemouth , hardly laying a glove on Boro etc ..

Darren Robinson - now with us, has known Rowett for over 10 years. It sounds like it really could be Rowett.

    When did he arrive here?

Sounds good though, those positives of Rowett are exactly what we were critical when Bruce was here - poor fitness to run out games, constant injuries, etc. Consistent team selection as well - not to be confused with sticking with out of form players, but instead finding your best team and sticking to it.

If it is Gary Rowett, let's hope he's given a chance but cant help wondering if he has been hyped up a bit. Got a fairly big club to the edge of the play offs last season - not into them. And think the football was pretty basic? (Certainly was against us at St Andrews). But on the basis that I cant see anyone with an established reputation wanting the job at the moment, and given I don't believe the Allams have good contacts generally in football but know Darren Robinson, it seems highly likely.

Rowett strikes me as what we need, and I don't think that means we'll win the league. We will likely still go down. But we need him because he can work wonders on a shoestring, has experience working with difficult owners, and seems to have a good relationship with Robinson - who seems to be here. He'll be able to stabilise the club, and will likely ensure there's no double relegation to League One next season - which, if we sell our best players without replacing them, we may well be in danger of doing.

He'll also be able to point to signings he made for Brum on free transfers or for very little money who had a big impact for him, and give the Allams confidence that he knows what he was doing.

I said it before and I'll say it again.
''Until the ownership question is successfully resolved we might as well be run by the man in the moon. Any manager is doomed to inevitable failure until the departure of the wreckers and a return to a more settled and harmonious club environment.''

The defeat at Bournemouth felt like Mike Phelan had lost the dressing room. He stood by a system that was not working, he has stood by a keeper that was not on form and then he say's:

“You can't just be a pretty boy, you have to get your body or something on it. When it is a one-on-one situation you have to carry out that duty.”

That is placing the blame on the players and maybe, with one or two he is right, but to say it to the press is simply wrong. He lost my support some months ago and I am not disappointed that he has gone. I think he could not cope with the pressure of the game and his games were better on the white board than on the pitch. I rarely saw him change a players position during a game and whilst we in the stands could see a player struggling, instead of making a change that would help, he made them keep to the same plan.

Does anyone really believe that Hernandez still has a groin injury?

I agree. MP has shown himself a poor manager, repeatedly starting the wrong formation, wrong players, players out of position, and poor (and often too late) substitutions or in-match changes of tactics. But, he could have been much better and still struggled against the monkey on his back I know he was given cash to spend, but not until the end of the window, when panic buying and extortionate prices for the remaining available leftovers almost guarantee getting it wrong.

Only my opinion mind. Anyone who disagrees is entitled to be mistaken...:)

That chappie at Huddersfield is doing a great job.. German precision and common sense...Would he come ? if asked...

Whoever walks through the KCOM door will need a lot of investment promises... Even Jose assisted by Pep would struggle to keep us up, if the players are not available in the window..
Lets get in a new head in prep for life in the Chumpionship.
