When Phelan had little or no choices to make he did fine .. the first few games the spirit of the players carried things through .. unfortunately the signing of the new players seemed to confuse him .. wrong systems played which didn't suit what we had lingered far too long .. choices of selections continued far too long when the obvious selections were staring him in the face .. piss poor organisation which has transformed our usually dependable defence into a sieve .. the continual selection of a keeper who's confidence is shot .. sorry but we need someone in who knows how to organise and has tactical awareness .. Phelan was out of his depth for me .. and to get someone in now the ****wits in charge will have to spend money in January. Imho

I thought we set up quite well for who we were playing - that meant sitting deep against Leicester to nullify Vardy and Musa's pace - and it meant retaining the ball against Swansea. Going into both games the players talked about how much research Phelan did on the opposition and how he set us up to counter those two teams' styles. What ever happened to that? Seemed to go out the window after the first month.

In theory it may have been a sound plan but in practice it worked about as well as a car with no wheels. Vardy, and others, got behind our defence and 1 on 1 countless times but ****ed up their chances, which were absolute sitters for the most part.

I'm not massively disappointed, sadly it probably needed to be done, although what happens next will be interesting

Maybe Ehab has finally realised what's at stake and decided to take some action to save his family's money. Any new manager will expect some budget for players before the window closes so we are in for an action packed month. It's never dull in Hull.

Think you're being a bit revisionist. They had 2-3 good chances they missed, but there wasn't any better way to play against them.

Well that doesn't say they were at school together at all !!!

For the third time, I misread it as three separate points, the third suggesting that Ehab spent a bit of time at school in Brum. As I don't have extensive knowledge of Ehab's schooling, I apologise for the error.

Apology accepted (although the third point 'when at Birmingham' must have sounded odd!)
Ehab was at my school although I can't say I knew him

Not any new manager. The ones people would want would no doubt expect a budget, but there'll be another Phelan somewhere who's desperate enough.
