Also wanted to further comment on the earlier point about being a "selling club". There is of course no definition as to what people mean by "selling club" and it may mean different things to different people. It is probably just used as a term of derision about certain clubs, but as pointed out, all clubs sell their best players. Many clubs sell to the financially bigger teams which seems to be perceived as the right order of things, but normally make good money on that possibly ensuring their survival (and are then described by Talkshite et al as smaller teams). These so-called bigger teams still sell players, often selling on players after a short time at a huge loss, but attract no condemnation whatsoever. So are "selling clubs" those that make a profit on transfers? Let's see your definition TalkShite, plus an explanation of what's wrong with that, since it's one of the best ways to survive in the current lopsided financial situation most find themselves in.

Kaboul's popped up in the Daily Mail running off the usual drinking game's worth of quotes, such as feeling "disrespected" by the manager, saying he was dropped because of injury, and saying how he doesn't understand why he was suddenly frozen out of the squad.

If you are a selling club surely you sell to your rivals, i.e. another Premier League team. Selling to Really Maddogs is just avoiding selling to the likes of the Chavs, Manure or Citeh. I think Berbatov was the last example of us doing this and even then his head had been turned at the last moment. Levy learnt from that. Both Modric and Bale had decided that they were off, we delayed it as much as we could and them sold each of them to a team who paid top dollar who we don't face week in week out. On reflection good business. Weren't the Chavs interested in Modric and Manure after Bale?

Sticking with the wages being thrown around in the Chinese Super League, apparently Tevez isn't getting the £615k p/w that's been widely quoted, in fact his wages are more like £225k p/w - or to put it another way, it's getting a lot more difficult for the English media to talk about the "stupid money" being thrown around when it transpires the Chinese Super League is merely matching the Premier League's spending.

As I recall from his commentaries, Collymore has always had it in for us, although heaven knows why the Brummie* twat has a beef is beyond me. Maybe we turned him down at some point? A possible connection is that our former star Peter Taylor sacked him at Leicester when he took over from Martin O'Neill but that's pushing it
