See you just cant win.... we are still in a supposed recession... shops get some big crowds gathering outside and what do they go and do, they shut up shop haha! think your S***E stirring pal let the police deal with it and if they cant my misses gets back from zumba at around 9.30 so I will send her down.... shes enough to see off any angry rioting mob!
fyi it was supposed to be 'kicking off' down here in bournemouth too, but i think it was just a cake shop closing for lunch and the biddies have put down their zimmerframes now. it is silly tho isnt it all this rubbish and its just a bunch of kids who think they can get away with it who have watched too much green street (yes i have watched it and i liked it but i wouldnt act like them in a million years but can see some people wanting to emulate it).
Just so long as you haven't taken it from Neil McKenzie. He's going quite well with his bat at the moment, we can't really afford him to be without it!
Facebook is being shut down for a "short period" If you guys have anything you need to do I suggest doing it now, providing obviously you live in England
yeah he's on form atm. he's either hit or miss in the t20 but lets just hope his form stays for finals day!
School holidays for ya. Of course some kids will gather in town and one or two will smash a window. The Echo will probably be there paying them to do so. I'll be drinking in town, the fact there is a game on will make it safer, more adults about.
I think all this trouble has been caused by the couple who sent their season ticket back due to the imposition of parking charges at SMS! Clearly the yoof have taken it upon themselves to riot against Cortese!! PS I'm taking the p*$$ In NC we trust!
Looks like I picked a good week to go on holiday. Tip: If you see some kids giving it large, take a photo of their face, it winds them right up.
Your mate got sent home did he? Then he's a liar! I'm in town now, have been since 3.30. There is no trouble! West quay is open, no 'gatherings'. Now be quiet and keys get back to the football.
Well said. I've seen a couple of photo's of town very recently, and everything looks normal. Now lets just all stop posting rumours before this thread has to be closed.
Just been out to value a property in Upper Shirley. He has a shop in the high Street and another by the Uni. He decided to close at lunchtime incase of trouble. At the time (apparently Yates's were just bringing all there outside furniture in, and the rumour was that West quay was about to close.. I live in town, and my balcony averlooks the high st. There is no sign of any trouble at all
