We have the players to stay up comfortably.
I bet EA is wondering if he can trust MP with money, cos, let's face it, SB was like a chocolate teapot when it came to getting the best out of the players... The perseverance with Mason when even Ehab can see that he's ****, and pulling off Thud, who was our best player by a country mile suggests that he is just as inept.
I bet EA is despairing about what to do!

Does he stick with Phelan in the hopes of turning it around, or does he bring someone else in?

Then that begs the question, who?
Ehab doesn't have any interest other than the finance.doesnt go.doesnt care and even if he felt different we wouldn't let him.we are like that.and that's why I support hull city.the fans are the reason

It was as obvious this season as it was last season. I have no idea what Bruce and Phelan see on the training ground or pitch.
This

We only ever looked capable of playing 4-4-2 when we had Rosenior able to play either full back role

How we haven't set up 3-5-2 for every game of last few seasons (injuries permitting) is beyond me

Same team that started the Man Citeh game for me, in a way I would like to see Mbokani playing up front with Dio as his partner, but that would probably mean Snodders making way, which really isn't something Phelan would do.

I'd flog him. He defo won't sign another new deal so we've got 18 months left and he's 29. Take £6m and go 3-5-2.

Still don't see a space for Mason or 'out of position' boy.

I am sure we will sell him but I think it will be in the summer, unless someone comes in with big offer in January.

I'd be surprised if we didn't get an offer around £6m next month. In that eventuality we can actually go for it with 2 strikers (shock horror) as well as shape up for next season.

I know we've had all these extensions but is anyone at all out of contract next year? If not let's get the team bedded in, if we can get through until next summer only losing Snodgrass and Abel then that team is good enough to do well next season.

If we got an offer like that we should bite their hand off, and if we get a decent offer for Abel then I am still not convinced he is a premier league striker I would also take it. With the caveat that the money is invested into the squad and not into Ehaws pocket.

We'd have about four points all season had Snodgrass been absent. Ditching him now would be madness of Ehab proportions... oh.

How do you know we wouldn't have more points if we'd played 2 strikers?

I'll help you out, you don't. Nobody does. The point is Snodgrass doesn't want to be here and is reaching the point of his last sale. I hate to break it to you but we're already down so let's prepare for next season.

That's just daft.

If Phelan was a proven manager like Bruce is he wouldn't have taken the job. He's here simply to get a managerial job on his CV. You could say he's desperate. He can't do anything about Ehab being a twat. It's either walk like Bruce or suck it up because you desperately wanted a managerial job.

Whats daft about it
The facts are phelan doesnt know his budget
Can you imagine any manager worth there bread, allowing the chairman to treat them like this? My answers no
Hence phelans weak
Not sure what your arguments against, your saying my statements daft yet at the end of yours your stating phelans sucking it up which is in theory being weak
Bit contradictory

Because he refused to sign a new contract offered to him and publicly touted himself to Celtic.

I'm not quite sure what further evidence you require.
Agent babble from a faceless online source? Pah!

He had his extended contract. He's our player for the rest of the season. He's our most influential player. But you'd sell him so we can bring in a second striker - who looks like being Bowen during January.

It's an opinion.
