I'm 63 and the last film I saw was Jaws.

Jaws is my favourite movie. I dragged my family to Martha's Vineyard because that's where Amity Island was filmed. I went to the Tourist Information and asked "Do you have any information on Jaws sites?" The bloke made me wait until everyone else had gone and then produced a very dusty piece of paper from the bottom drawer and in very hushed tones talked me through it. Apparently, they don't like to encourage the memory of shark attacks, even if they weren't real and any real life sharks in that film were filmed in Australia.

Oh yeah, "You're going to need a bigger boat."

Just a thought there OS the only good guy, of sorts, is the scruffy unshaven bastard.

Just like real life, all the really nasty bastards wear a suit and tie.:emoticon-0103-cool:

Just sayin' OS
The Taking of Pelham 123 is a great film. It also inspired a record from Carter the Unstoppable Sex Machine to be called the Taking of Peckham 123

Couldn't you just do it anyway? Chuck him out halfway, so it's not a full weight allowance.
Another strategy would be not to take him all at once.
As a result of Carrie Fisher's passing and the many references to the 'bikini scene' that have been made since, I've come to the shocking realisation that I've never seen that film or any other Star Wars movie since the first one, which I saw when I was 14. Given that it came out in 1983 and I was 20 at the time and I'm now 53, is that odd?

There are certain films that I've managed to avoid seeing on purpose - Grease, Sound of Music, ET, Titanic and everything involving Steve Martin since Parenthood come instantly to mind. Should I bother?
You’ve got to see the second and last one I saw, something to do with Droids, maybe. It has the worst, and I mean the absolute worst romantic scene I’ve ever observed, including grammar school musicals. How they managed to get such terrible writing and putrid acting by two different people in a movie they spent zillions on is the 11th wonder of the world. Prepare to be amazed.

I thought the first one was okay, actually. I guess I saw it when I was almost young enough. Typical overblown and cheesy big Hollywood film, but a well formed story arc, if you care about that sort of thing.

On the other hand, I read Watership Down when I was 11, maybe, and love it to this day.

You are (hopefully) talking about the original film and not the remake. File the remake under "unnecessary" rather than awful, but still one of many that didn't need to be (re)done.

Also Shaw was good in Battle of Britain, where a large number of actors didn't get much screen time compared to the aircraft (quite correctly), but he was one of the better ones. I should also note however, for the many that are concerned here, that at the time of the Battle of Britain many (most?) pilots still flew wearing ties, but Shaw (I believe - haven't seen it for a while) is only seen in a white polo neck. Could be a deal breaker for some.

REMAKE???....suggesting I might like that abomination is a terrible slur ... it's up there with @Ckane making up outrageous lies about how I wanted us to sign Nasri <whistle>

Saw them doing some anti BNP benefit gigs back in the 1990s. Still listen to their stuff...101 damnations is still their best imo...used to make me laugh when my kids told me to turn the music down <laugh>

My kids sort of despaired of their punk father. They're both named after favourite tracks from 'back in the day' - Eloise and Gabrielle. However, they've now started to ask to come with me and Mrs B to see some gigs. You'll wear them down eventually.

I have no doubt the players will all look very smart in the Nike kit. Now we need to smarten our manager up.

The Battle of Britain was a great film with as you say many actors playing 2nd fiddle to the wonderful aircraft and Robert Shaw in his white polo did stand out

It's reckoned we sell 268,000 shirts per year, worldwide. It's considerably less than Chelsea [900,000], Arsenal [835,000], Liverpool [850,000] and United [1.75m]. Given what those others sell, our deal sounds great. I am suspecting that £30m is the maximum dependent upon CL and other factors. Let's hope that we can get that maximum sum on a regular basis.

The hope on both sides has to be that Dele, Harry Kane, Eric Dier and the like enjoy success with England and we start to attract a greater proportion of young fans as a result. Signing Isco wouldn't hurt either. At least, having Nike as the supplier means that the high street stores should stock the kit which isn't the case in a lot of sores at the moment. Rather like our form in the PL this season, it puts us there or thereabouts with the clubs with more income than us right now. What happens after that will depend upon whether the team starts to win things. It's a big 5 years coming up in every sense.
