Sorry, just seen this and it does make for some pretty despairing reading as you say Cromer."The bigger history subject is club ownership: has it been in the owners’ hands for too long? Have they not kept up with the times? Is it akin to asking Queen Victoria to sort out Brexit?"
Chris Lakey column in today's EDP. Despairing stuff indeed

I most certainly don't have any objection whatsoever to opposing views - surely that is what a forum like this is all about. On both here and the original 606 forum I was often a minority of 1 so I am used to it. I try to be careful about exactly what I say and therefore get a bit prickly when what I say is twisted a bit. Just a couple of minor points. I have no objections to Foreign investors as such but do think you have to be careful and scrutinise their motives. Home grown investment doesn't always work - just ask our friends down the road. We did get clear of external debt but not internal debt and we all know who that is. Since clearing the external debt we have not had a good run financially and with a £12m loss budgeted this year extreme caution is advisable to keep that under control. We all want the best outcome for our Club even if we disagree as to the method of getting there. I will not be near Bar Magnan or other wifi establishment for a few days so I will have to leave RBF and Dave to defend the fort on their own!!Surely we are in exactly the same position as 2 seasons ago with Neil Adams.
Relegated from the Premier league starting well then fading by Christmas.
Adams didn't have anywhere near as bad form and we parted company for the better.
A new man was put in place and we managed to finish top 6 and win the play off final.
For every Coventry or Portsmouth there is a counter argument where a foreign investor comes in and succeeds moving the club forward like Leicester as a great example.
I don't advocate Delia to be forced out by angry fans but I want her to dismiss Neil because he's failing miserably to get the best out of HIS players and get results on the pitch.
That is his job and it is clear since Newcastle and Brighton that he is not capable for what ever reason and he needs to be put out of our misery.
We completely wiped out our debts so talk of nose diving like Coventry seems peculiar .
Sell Klose and Brady bring in a decent centre back keeper under a new manager and give ourselves a decent shot at finishing top 6.
Maybe even loan a couple of players in that can't get a game at a bigger club.
Just doing nothing is not going to cut it and we in my opinion are more likely to crash into league 1 if the transfer window is given to Alex Neil and our highly paid team of head hunters .
We don't have to agree 50's and I am simply putting on the table my views of what we should do , I hope you don't take offense to me having an opposing view either ?
I'm a chubby chaserIs there a kind of....flirtation thing going on here? Between Dave and Dunc?

I had heard you liked a good chubbying!I'm a chubby chaser![]()
You are a liarI had heard you liked a good chubbying!
To get away from Chubby Checker and back onto the topic of this thread, I believe that there is a saying the goes something like " the definition of madness is to keep doing things the same way, expecting different outcomes ".

if true what should we call this. How aboutBeing a Vital football rehash of a Sun article it has not much veracity going for it but interesting that someone has come up with such a story!

Apparently Norwich would "balk" at paying £2m to get shot of him?Do you have a link to that story mate?
]Thank you Cromer. I clicked on a Sun link and wouldn't let me read it, so wasn't sure if the content was blocked.Apparently Norwich would "balk" at paying £2m to get shot of him?

No mention in the article as to whether he did this off his own bat or if Delia and MWJ were complicit and agreed with the decision. If it was his decision, surely out of order for a non-executive chairman to do such a thing?F*ck me, that is depressing but unsurprising reading...The club is run as badly and as pathetically as we have all assumed. I really hoped that deep down we were better than that, and they they were doing something right. It just keeps coming out that every single thing we thought was wrong, is wrong.
A pitiful, lame, weak excuse for a well supported football club
