He was certainly out-coached today. Hudder's started five new players from Tue's match. I didn't think we played poorly, they were just in better shape. Plus we always look like we're not well drilled.

Morning Rich, I have defended him for long enough, there is obviously a problem and I have to agree that his time is up. I'm disappointed that he couldn't turn it around but we have had too many false dawns, time to move on!

You 'took the words out of my mouth' there Dave!!! <laugh>
When AN took Basil off to make way for Jerome, that was the 'final nail in the coffin' for me. Why couldn't he have taken Murphy off and played 2 strikers?? Unfortunately, he has said he won't quit, but I just hope Delia et al see the error of the statement of a few weeks ago and GET RID OF HIM NOW!!!!
Our 'victories' in the last 9 games have been against sides who had 'off days'.
I said somewhere else that I think Huddersfield were the best side we've seen at Carrow Road and I wouldn't be surprised to see them involved in the playoffs.

AN declares that he will not walk away from being manager. Of course he won't as he now wants a large pay-off for being sacked. We have all seen this drama played our before I feel that we are in the final throws. Leave him in place and finish mid-table at best, sack him and hope to finish in top 6.

The rest of the backroom staff Alan Irvine etc are all just as culpable as AN imo, if AN does not have the expertise then whos advising him? Alan is far more experienced, even if AN wont go cant we get someone in beside him with some tactical experience?

To be fair AN is the boss, that's where the buck stops. Maybe backroom staff have offered him advice and he just hasn't listened, maybe it's not just his mistakes he can't learn from.

Interesting Birmingham doing much better than most expected, but still sack Gary Rowett. Whilst I don't think the decision to sack him was the right one it does send out a strong message from the board of their expectations for the club, keeping everyone, including the players on their toes. Mean while we stick with AN despite the teams poor performance all season and some horrendous results, what message does that send out to club staff and players.

You mean his 'arrogance'?? He tried pointing the finger at his players in the week, accusing them of arrogance!!! <laugh>

I agree from the point hes responsible for the results and he alone should go, but from a point of view moving forward and his stubbornness to leave the only real option we have is to get him some help, didnt we have Joe Royal for a short time before? Who are these free loaders in the back ground and what exactly are they doing for their money?, they seem to be making a right c*ckup of the transfer and sales along with team decisions\advice...

I think part of the problem is his stubborness restricts his ability to listen and learn, be it from experience, the players, the fans etc

Two away games now Reading followed by Brentford. We will get stuffed at Reading and might scramble a draw at Brentford. Now 10th and probably be in bottom half of table by end of year? If AN still in place by then we must assume that the owners are not interested in getting promotion and are comfortable in a league with the also rans.

How lame is this to use as an excuse for losing against a team assembled at the cost of a bag of peanuts?
"I thought they looked really fatigued in the first half, some of them.

"Legs-wise, we struggled in the middle area. We didn't show the energy we showed in the last game. It wasn't a lack of effort, we just lacked the physical capability"
Care to cast any aspersions on why that might be, Alex, FFS?
It's your team / squad. <grr>
Your training methods they implement :emoticon-0112-wonde

The 'lack of energy' (or whatever you want to call it has been a recurring theme in several of our games this season, so you have to question the training/fitness regimes employed at Colney. Also, several of our early season 'injuries' were as the result of muscle strains which again indicates issues with the fitness training. I'm sure that that side of training is not the sole responsibility of AN, but it's something that MUST be addressed, especially with the onset of winter and heavier pitches etc!!!

I get the feeling that "the owners" are content for us to be where we are and as long as we can finish higher then the Binmen then that Is satisfactory.

A couple of our marque signings (Klose and Pritchard) can't get a game and one wonders why them and Lafferty have received such a raw deal from the manager

Can't see us getting anything at Reading and we might, if we roll our sleeves up and really apply ourselves, might get a point at Brentford. High ambition indeed.

A cursory glance at the league table (through clenched teeth and from behind the sofa!) just revealed that we're now closer to the drop zone (13 points) than we are the top zone (16 points).
And having lost 7 from the last 9, there's not much to suggest the seeds of recovery have been sown, either <yikes>
Yet we were top of the pile exactly two months ago <doh>

Some of us are not surprised that the team are playing badly and losing and to expect Neil to play Lafferty up front occasionally as a two or change the formation is wrong.
It's his team he can do as he wants and any fans that expect us to win or play well may as well go and support Chelsea or Man City.
Don't get ideas above our station this is our level and I for one am glad we won't be playing Premiership football next year with the greed and foreign owners.
We could go another 2 months losing most of our games and I wouldn't mind because I'm a true loyal fan not a pant wetter like most of the ilk on here.
I found the chanting of "Delia sort it out " and the booing , from the plebs that actually turn up to games very distasteful at one point I had to switch channel.

If the team do not want to play for the manager then he can do very little about it. Apathy on the pitch can be translated as lack of fitness, not tracking back to defend, poor passes etc. As a supporter and like many others I could cope with say, 2 wins, 2draws and 2 defeats in 6 games. There are more theories about why we are not winning than months in a year. If the present squad are on Prem wages then this could be the reason they are not bothered about playing to their ability - there is no incentive to get back to the Prem a league they could not cope with
