I respect Olly immensely for what he has done, with Blackpool mostly. But most of his achievements as a Manager were a while ago now and I don't feel confident he has it in him now, I really hope he has. I got a lot of respect for Clowns too!
're the fans...after Wednesday match, which as you will remember we lost , many fans stayed to clap the effort made by the players....and about 6 of the players came over to clap us..Smithies, Luongo, BFG, Shodipo, Ned all came to us...no booing just clapping ..The fans who were there on Wednesday were very supportive ....We are trying our best...and it is easier when they play like they did against Derby
I did and do when I'm in London, and follow avidly from a far. But you don't need to see the falling gates, hear the booing of managers, players, even youngsters making their debuts, see the fights between fans in the stadium, read about fans wanting better toilets for years but now when this is done being so upset their name is taken off their seat, when for me I'd like most seating to be ripped out altogether, to know it us going on and feel dissapointed in us. It's all over the media.
Think as well the main reason Ramsey and Jimmy got fired was the fans impatience when the Club were in consolidation modus, pushing a weak TF into changing them. Now we look like we need to change again to avoid going from mid table to a huge scrap to avoid the drop to League 1.

Don't know if I am counted as one of the two Ninesy, but to be clear the crowd is just the cherry on top for me, the issue is years of horrible football, which creates the wholly justifiable atmosphere. I haven't stopped going on principle or anything, I just don't get round to it because my motivation is low. If I lived round the corner doubtless I'd have an ST still.
Yet we have had years of horrible football before and I dragged myself down more often than now. So what's the difference? I think it is still down to lingering expectation, and the continual sense that we are underperforming. In the early 2000s we knew we were rubbish and skint and learned to live with it and adjust hopes accordingly. It's easier being a perpetual underdog. Now we are buying players who look fit for purpose on paper, have an owner and DoF who mutter about play offs being the target (no more I suspect, though in this league a run of results achieves remarkable things - look at Leeds). We just feel continually let down. Fernandes sets the culture and is responsible for this mismatch. And it's all compounded by the knowledge that every second we spend dicking around turning in circles you can multiple by a thousand in terms of our chances of getting back to the PL, and the longer we are out the more impossible it is to get back. And sadly the PL is the only place where you get to see decent football. Catch 22.

The thread is titled 'Which player has disappointed most this season?' But two posters ignored that and decided that the fans have disappointed the most.
I can't think of a player who has disappointed particularly. When given games all have done about as I expected. One or two have disappointed by their few games, Pawel a Polish international in particular. He looks good to me but hasn't been given much time on the pitch - whether that is his fault due being poor in training, injuries, or the Managers fault I don't know, maybe a combination of all 3.
Re your last paragraph, the club wouldn't have to keep changing the manager if they employed a half decent one to start with.
Ramsey? What did he do to get the gig? And what's he done since? And JFH's tactics of trying not to lose, which is difficult when we invariably conceded first, whilst playing crap football.
As for Holloway, I can only assume that Les jokingly suggested him, only for TF to take him seriously. The bigger joke was to give him a 2.5 year contract. This will only end badly and probably in a lower division.
I make it to a few games a season, but mainly because I enjoy the day out with my dad and us having a few beers with some of the posters. Bar the Norwich game, I can't remember the last game I enjoyed watching.
Fair enough. From what little I have seen I would rate Chery biggest disappointment, because I had the highest expectation for him and we bend over backwards to play him where he can influence the game and he doesn't influence the game. I'd like to see more of the Poles and all these wingers.
