QPR will aim to end a run of three straight defeats when they host Derby County at Loftus Road this evening.

Following Saturday’s defeat against Rotherham United the R’s are in desperate need of a victory to put daylight between themselves and the Sky Bet Championship relegation zone.

The R’s have won just six games all season - with three of those victories coming on home soil - and only one under the guidance of new manager Ian Holloway.

In contrast this evenings visitors Derby are on something of a hot streak having won their last six matches on the bounce under former Rangers coach Steve McClaren.

    TEAM NEWS

    QPR:
Tonight’s game is likely to come too soon for Ariel Borysiuk, who featured for the Under 23s on Monday afternoon following a recent hamstring injury. Pawel Wszolek, who has been sidelined with a knee problem, returned to training this week while Idrissa Sylla is also training again following a hamstring injury. Jamie Mackie (ankle) also played in the Under 23s’ 2-1 win over Watford this week but isn’t expected to be involved tonight. Steven Caulker (hip) and Jack Robinson (hamstring) remain out. James Perch is available again following his one match suspension.

Derby: Ikechi Anya will be absent from Derby County's squad again on Wednesday night with a knee injury. Max Lowe (groin/hip) is still out while Nick Blackman continues to make good progress following knee surgery.

Ian Holloway: “Derby like to dominate possession so it is going to be tough. They are in a confident place at the moment and we’re not. This is when we need to be brave, believe in ourselves and keep doing what we have started to do – like we did in the first half at Rotherham.”

Steve McClaren: “They are quite capable, like any club in this division, of beating anyone. We don't expect anything except for the players to go out there and do their jobs. If we do that, then we've got a chance of winning. If we don't then we've got a chance of losing."

Me too. There is no logical reason for feeling so positive but I just have a feeling we can pull something out of the bag tonight. Enjoy the game for all those lucky enough to be going. Come on You R's.

I see 0-0 with only a few minutes to go, then the ball bullets into the crowd, hits the leg of a spectator and flies into the Derby goal. The camera pans to the spectator and we see it is in fact Bobby Zamora (retired)... and then I wake up

    I'm expecting stalemate tonight

With the respective form of both teams I can only see this ending in defeat for us. But, I am about to start the first of three night shifts which always puts me in a depressed state. I think I'm turning into Marvin the paranoid android!

After Saturday's performance I feel the same mate. Unless Holloway sorts out the defence it will be another shellacking tonight. We need to stop conceding goals because when we do the team go into England v Iceland mode. This side needs to find a bit of backbone and bravery and learn how to do the dark arts of the game better because we currently have a very soft under belly.

Concede early tonight and not react in the correct manner will see the insouciance that is pervading every aspect of our club continue.

Right I'm off to the Bull for a pre-match Babycham. C'mon you Rs, you better ****ing be up for this.

Yes it was Flyer. I wish he'd come back, we had some great banter with Marvin.
